Senn Pov.
I watched Scelia as she looked through my belongings for her notebook. It's been around an hour of her searching and I'm starting to get nervous that she'll find something she doesn't like or want to see, something about Ria. Because I know she has a crush on me.
"Oh where is it?!" Scelia exclaims as she opens every drawer on my dresser then looks back at me. "Are you sure you didn't take it?
I widened my eyes slightly, baffled at the idea of her even assuming that I'd take it. I don't normally take things from people unless it's something they shouldn't have.
Addy has already called me down for dinner three times now and I've had to say that I'll be down in a few minutes because Scelia still can't find her notebook.
"Senn! Where did you put it?!" Scelia demands and I widen my eyes a bit then growl at her.
"I didn't take your stupid notebook! Why did you even bring it?!" I demanded and she stopped in her tracks looking to be on the verge of tears, I feel guilt bubble up in my chest and I'm about to apologize to her when Addy's voice suddenly cuts out again.
"Senn! Come on! We're all waiting on you! She can find her notebook tomorrow!" Addy called and I looked back at Scelia as she shook her head violently.
"No, I need it now!" She argued but I walked over to her and grabbed her shoulders, looking into her eyes.
"You can get it tomorrow and I can't keep my family waiting on me." I say then let go of her shoulders as they slump, she's disappointed, I can see it in her eyes. "Scelia, you've been at my house for three hours, one of those hours being spent looking for your notebook. I promise I'll look but now you need to go home, your dad is probably worried about you."
I sighed and she tossed me a small glare then sighed herself before turning towards there door.
"Fine, he would be worried... I'll go now, goodbye Senn, Will I see you tomorrow at the blacksmith?" She asked hopefully. I felt bad putting her hopes down so reluctantly said I would be there, once she was gone I ran down the stairs and saw Ingressus trying to feed Indie who is waving his arms everywhere. He looks over at me and raised his eyebrows.
"What were you two doing in there? Making out? You were in there for three hours." He said and eyed me as I blushed intensely, walking over to the counter and sitting down.
"No." I say and look at the counter. "She couldn't find her notebook."
"Well, she was doing a really crappy job of looking for it if she didn't find it in the span of three hours." Addy said as she walked towards the counter and set down a plate of cookies as Ingressus force-fed Indie, Ingren started slapping his peas and getting them all over his hands as Indie slapped the next spoonful of food all over Ingressus's face.
I froze and Addy froze as well, both of us baffled and honestly a bit scared as Indie went as far as to spit on him as well. Ingressus took a deep breath in then grabbed a cloth and wiped his face off slowly, taking in another deep breath then walking towards the water bucket and washing his hands. Addy watched him with a concerned expression, in the middle of making bread and the dough stuck to her hands before she washed it off and walked over to him, hugging him from behind then rubbing his shoulder.
"I know it's hard, but they're children, you'll get used to it and they'll learn." She said and rubbed his back, her fingers running over his smooth and clear skin. Ingressus reached for his fang-cleaners and I remembered I lost mine. I wonder if Scelia was even looking at all because I lost my fang cleaners in my room when I was on my bed so she clearly wasn't looking hard enough.
Ingressus looked back at Addy while holding his fang cleaners and she nodded then lead him towards a chair next to me then sat across from him and started cleaning his fangs, scraping the dry blood off, and putting it on a clean cloth.
I looked over as Ingren abruptly threw peas into Indie's face, Indie just stared into space, seeming in shock from his brother's sudden attack then slowly looked towards Ingren who froze in place then slapped him with peas again. Indie just sat there and took it which was surprising, even though each time he was hit he looked like he'd seen a ghost.
"Love, it's ok... just relax, we can go sleep later..." I head Addy say and looked over as she massaged Ingressus's throat, running her fingers down to his collarbone then back up as he watched her with love.
"I know. And I want to sleep to." He said and smiled softly as she stopped then walked towards me and picked up a cookie, looking back at me.
"This, is called a cookie, now, here comes the parrot!" Her voice became light and playful as she started moving the cookie towards me I moved back laughing as she got on the counter and tried to get it in my mouth.
"Senn, don't fall." Ingressus said and grinned at me as I pulled the chair back up and ate the cookie while watching Addy.
"Just remember I'm not a child." I say and smile.
"You're sixteen isn't that the definition of a child?" She asked and moved gracefully across the kitchen to finish making the bread.
"No, that's the definition of a teenager." I correct her and watch her as she throws some flower on the counter then puts the dough on the flower, puffing some into my face and causing me to cough.
"A teenager is just a slightly more mature child." Addy said and grinned as I gave her a dull look. "And besides you're not even in school like your brothers."
"And you said you didn't want to go so no excuses." Ingressus said and watched me. I felt embarrassed, just plain embarrassed. I was caught in my little mistake.
"Alright, yes but that doesn't mean I'm a child." I say defensively and Ingressus elbows me playfully.
"That doesn't mean your brain isn't a child." He said and I froze then shook my head as he burst out laughing and Addy held back a laugh, even though I was holding back a laugh as well.
