~Ingressus Pov.
A few days after washing up on Nestoria...
I sit on a rock swinging my legs back and forward as I watch my friends Achillean and Addy fight playfully with each other, they look so delicious... no! No they don't! Ugh, this hunger is really getting to me... I need to eat... something... I need something... I run my tongue along my fangs holding back the urge to jump down and sink my teeth into their necks, knock them down and start drinking their blood like I would with father whenever a random other-clan Ardoni would stumble into our camp... and hear my stomach growl and put a hand on my stomach.
"So... hungry..." I find myself breathing and Achillean and Addy look towards me.
"What did you say Gress?" Addy asks and I blink several times as I look at her.
"I just said I was hungry..." I say and find myself staring at her neck, it looks so soft... like the flesh would be so easy to tear into... I shake my head and blink a few times.
"There's some fish in that bucket over there." Achillean says and points towards a bucket to the side.
"No... that's not what I'm hungry for..." I breathe and Addy raises her eyebrows.
"So what are you hungry for?" She asks.
"Bl--" I start before I hear a male voice call out behind us.
"Ingressus! Can you come with me for a moment?" Master Agues asks and places a hand on my shoulder. I look up at him and notice him wince slightly as my eyes flash dark red and my pupils fade to white, showing my hunger.
"Yes." I say and nod before following him, hearing Addy and Achillean whispering in concerned tones. We walk into Master Aegus's cave, and he shuts the door behind him, sitting down on a chair and sighing slightly as I put a hand on my forehead, trying to ease the hunger.
"Are you hungry Ingressus?" He asks and I look up quickly nodding. I run my tongue along my fangs again. I haven't used them in forever. "What do you normally eat? Like eat from?"
I gulp, afraid to admit that I would normally drink from members of his own clan and others. Mostly champions like the one that killed father.
"O-other clan Ardoni..." I admit and he sighs and nods then shakes his head.
"Can you eat from animals?" He asks.
"We did sometimes but it's not filling like the Ardoni blood is..." I admit and hear my stomach growl again. I eye his neck for a moment, hunger filling my expression before I shake my head quickly.
"Alright Ingressus come over here." Aegus instructs and I walk over to him, standing in front of him. "I will let you drink from me but be gentle."
I perk my ears and lick my fangs again, eager to sink them into his flesh.
"Wait before you do that show me your fangs." He commands and I pin my ears nervously, slightly embarrassed before opening my mouth and showing him. He inspects my fangs then purses his lips and nods with a disappointed expression.
"You have the Voltaris Master's fangs..." He sighs.
"I-is that bad?" I stammer as I shut my mouth.
"It just means that it will kill me if you bite me instead of just taking my blood, you have venom in your fangs, Ingressus..." He says and I widen my eyes. "Fear not, I might have a way to fix it."
I nod and wait for him to tell me what to do.
"Try to move the muscles in your fangs to pull the venom injectors back in." He says and I close my eyes as I focus on trying to pull my fangs back in. I feel my fangs with my tongue after I feel a slight popping feeling.
"Bite that table." Aegus instructs and I obey, biting the table as he inspects my fangs.
"Alright it looks like the venom fangs went back in, try to remember how to do that." He says as he sits down on a chair and I nod.
"Yes Master." I say then stare at his neck.
"Come over here." Aegus says and I nod, walking over to him and kneeling down beside the chair.
"Be gentle Ingressus." He says and then breathes in as I nod then lean towards his neck and sink my fangs into it. I hear him gasp before I feel his blood run into my mouth and quickly gulp it down. I continue drinking from him for a while before finally starting to not feel hungry and standing up, watching him as he shakes himself off.
"I feel lightheaded..." Aegus mutters and I gasp.
"I-I-I-I-I'm sorry Master!" I stammer quickly and he smiles while leaning back slightly.
"It's fine, it's what I expected from getting bitten by a vampire." He says and breathes out.
"Hey father." I hear a female voice say and Aegus stands up quickly and I turn as Addy walks into the room with a smile.
"Addy." He says and smiles then hugs his daughter. She looks over at me as I lick the blood off of my lips and fangs.
"What have you been eating Ingressus?" She asks curiously.
"Uhm, blo--" I start and lick the top of my mouth, tasting Ageus's blood again.
"Strawberries!" Ageus says quickly before I can finish my sentence and I nod. Who knows how she would react if she figured out I was drinking her father's blood? Or blood at all. she would know I was a Voltaris AND a vampire.
"Ooo! Are there any left?" She asks with wide and eager eyes as I freeze.
"Yes in the cooler outside sweetie." Aegus says and she nods happily before bounding outside as Aegus turns back towards me.
"You can never tell anyone about your cravings for blood Ingressus... am I clear? We do not know how people would react to knowing they live with a vampire and a Voltaris They would most likely be terrified." Aegus says and I nod. "Your life depends on this, whenever you get hungry just come get me or ask someone where I am and I will let you drink my blood, ok Ingressus?"
"Yes Master." I say and nod.
"Oh and do not even once try to bite Addy or Achillean." He says.
"Of course!" I yelp, surprised that he would even suggest it.
"You only drink from me." He says and I nod quickly.
"I promise Master, my secret will remain a secret."
