~Chapter 18~

Sonde Pov.

I sit down on my bed slowly, wrapping my tail around my legs and tangling my finger in my hair nervously. I don't know what I was thinking buying those Mendoris, Blood... it's just blood... I sigh a bit then open my mouth and grab onto the fangs, pulling gently until they slide off revealing my dull less sharp fangs underneath. I feel them with my tongue and look down at the fake fangs in despair. I don't know what got into me with that poor female that Ingressus bought, it seems like he's treating her ok just not as well as I expected. None of the slaves ever got collars... I feel so bad for her. I blink away a few tears as I clutch the fake fangs closer, why am I doing this? It feels like a betrayal to the people like me whenever I take the slaves back to get sold. but it also feels like a betrayal to my clan by not getting them, letting them get away. I just don't know what to do...

Achillean Pov.

I smile at Senn as he sheathes his sword and nods to Ria, who nods back and smiles, grabbing his arm and grinning at him. It's very clear they're in love. I don't know why Senn keeps saying she's just a friend. I smile as he glances back before Onyx's voice cuts out.

"Shouldn't you all eat before we go, and some of our weapons are dull." He says, glancing at Grim who holds up his scythe and blabbers out unknown things, no one really knows what he's saying but it's clear that he doesn't want to go yet. Ria nods in agreement and steps forward slightly.

"I think it would be best to sharpen our weapons for this, it is Voltaris we're dealing with after all, and if we come across the Deathsinger we have to have sharp weapons or be very armed. Remember he does have venom in his fangs, he's more dangerous than all of the Voltaris, even Tygren." She says and I sigh slightly. I feel like this is urgent and I need to find them before it's too late. But she is right, if we just go charging at him with no weapons or no sharp weapons or no skills, they would be dead. Ria and Senn were lucky that Addy had been there to fire that arrow because if she wasn't Senn and Ria would be dead with their blood drank by the Deathsinger and Tygren. I fear many things, but none have been as severe as losing my siblings, both of them. It's as if I feel more lost without them. I breathe in but sit down along with the rest of them. It is going to be fine, I hope.

Addy Pov.

I blink awake and yawn a bit then feel something on my tail, wrapped around it and something holding me with their legs and arms, I glance back at Ingressus and widen my eyes slightly then whisper my reaction.

"Ingressus what are you doing?" I ask quietly and tap him on the horn, He blinks awake and yawns a bit.

"Hm?" He questions and rubs his eyes for a minute before looking down at me. "Oh, just cuddling with you, you didn't want to go to my bed so I came to yours." 

I see him blush as I look down at the pillow, realizing that we're covered with a blanket. He must have realized what he did and felt bad about it. I flick my ear nervously and glance back at him, afraid to move.

"Okay... but why didn't you just pick me up and carry me to your bed?" I ask and he looks away again and wraps his tail around mine tighter, blushing harder.

"I didn't want to wake you and didn't care enough." He says and puts a hand over his face, clearly trying to hide the fact that he was blushing, I blush a bit as well before looking down at his tail wrapped around mine and wrap mine around his as well. He looks down at me as I just stare then try to wriggle out. He holds me tighter and breathes in as I glance back.

"I'm thirsty..." I mange and he glances down at me then flicks his ear slightly.

"So am I." He says and I shake a bit as he strokes the side of my neck.
