The guard gazed out into the open woods, watching nothing but trees blow around and leaves rot on the muddy ground. Nothing ever changed. He kept staring at the same spot everyday wondering why he always stood in front of this large grey building, wasting his time. But he couldn't figure out why, no matter how hard he would try to search for the reason in his mind, it was as though it didn't exist. But he knew it did.

"I'm gonna take a break, let my legs rest." he tapped on his partner's shoulder. His partner gave him a slow nod and was left alone in front of the gate. The guard skipped off around the building away from the others and lit a cigarette. He leaned against the cement walls and shut his eyes close, feeling the sun heat his harry arms.

"Smoking on the job?"

The guard sprung up, startled by the raspy voice. He reached for his hand gun but the young man snatched it out of his hand and through it far into the grassland. The man grabbed the guard by his shoulders and deeply looked into his eyes with concentration. "You will forget everything that's happened here and go back to where you belong, with your family." the man said, his pupil dilating smaller as the words sang out. He let go of his shoulders and let the guard walk away. "Run!" he shouted at him. The guard ran and vanished into the woods.

Derek strapped on the walky-talky to his chest along with the belt that held the hand gun. He unfolded a black cap and wore it over his thick hair. "Can you see my face?" he asked them. Alex came forward a little closer. "Not that much, just keep your head low and you'll be clean."

They stuck their fingers between the small space under the gate. "Remember, only detonate when we're at a safe distance." said Derek in stance. "What if you don't make it out?" murmured Daniel as they lifted the heavy metal gate. "I always make it out."

They lifted the gate high enough for Derek to crawl under, the dust particles flying into their faces. They brought the gate back down, Derek vanishing into the darkness.

Alex and Daniel stared at the top of the institution, their hands blocking the sun's light. What looked like a large box was peering over the edge.

"There." said Alex directing Daniel to it.

"Do you even think we can make it up there?"

"I've jumped heights even higher than this." said Alex. "If you say so."

They both crouched down and lifted themselves off the ground, their bodies shooting up like rockets. The landed on the roof of the institution just beside a large vent. "Wow that was awesome. We got to do that again." said Daniel looking below. "Now's not the time for fun and games, help me with this."

Daniel looked over to Alex who already had his hands all over the grand box, but its lock hole flashed as a chest more than so a box. "I guess it couldn't be that easy." said Daniel making his way to him.

"Wrong again."

Alex's veins bulged out of his arms as he tried to tear open the box. It burst open, but the components stayed intact. "Jackpot."

Derek walked down the dark halls with his head down as he passed by vampires that were too busy sinking their teeth into innocent flesh. The smell of blood was so strong it burned Derek's nose. It only made the search for the twins harder than he hoped.

He peered into an open room, heat hitting him in the face. It was piled with dead bodies wrapped into cloth as vampires hung over a large furnace, shovelling their finished dinners inside. He caught sight of the twins passing down the other wall on the other side of the room. Not knowing the building in and out, he snuck into the open room using the bodies as barrels, hiding his big muscular structure. He made it into the other hall and followed their scent.
