Olivia sat in her office with her head hung, the air heavy with tension. Casey, Rafael, and Tiffany were arguing about what Calvin said. No one wanted Vivian to be released from jail, but if they couldn't get her released, they didn't know what to do regarding Calvin's custody.
"Shut up!" Olivia exclaimed, as she finally lifted her head and looked at the three people standing in front of her desk.
"Olivia-" Rafael started, but Olivia shook her head and stood on shaky legs.
"I don't know if you have observed the situation completely. Calvin is unhappy with me... In the end, he can't be in my custody anymore. For his wellbeing, Vivian needs to get him back. I can help her out to the best of my ability, like giving her my apartment to raise him in," Olivia breathed, as she completely gave up on being Calvin's guardian or mother.
"No, baby-" Rafael started, but Olivia stopped him with a shake of her head.
"I love that little boy so much, but he isn't ready for that. He's scared and doesn't want to forget his mother. So let's work together, for the sake of Calvin, to get Vivian back for him. Tiffany, you can continue to be his case worker and monitor the situation. I'll pay for the apartment and help her get a job. We can make this work, but only if we can all help. Okay?" Olivia breathed.
Casey looked over at her best friend and couldn't believe what she was saying. Olivia wanted to be Calvin's mother so bad, but now she was willing to give him up to make sure he was happy.
"I-i'd have to talk to my bosses," Tiffany breathed.
"Okay, do that. Casey and I can talk to a judge and see if Vivian can be released."
"What about me?" Rafael asked. Olivia turned to him and took a shaky breath.
"I have no idea."

Calvin went home with Tiffany that day, so he wouldn't have to sleep at the precinct again. Rafael went back to Olivia's apartment and packed a bag for Calvin before taking it over to Tiffany's.
"Even if you are no longer staying with Olivia, she requested I bring the laptop for your schoolwork. Keep up with it, or else we may need to send you back to public school," Rafael spoke, as he sat the laptop case on the kitchen table. Calvin looked at it for a moment before turning back to Rafael.
"Mom won't make me do these stupid classes when she gets me back," Calvin spoke, as he crossed his arms across his chest.
"Then she can be sent back to jail for not sending you," Rafael smiled. He tossed a duffle bag onto the table before turning and walking back to the door.
"I hate you, but not nearly as much as I hate Olivia!" Calvin yelled. Rafael turned slowly and looked at the angry little boy.
"Your mother is going to fuck up again, just like she's done many times before. The next time you are looking for a place to stay, remember how much Olivia gave up for you. How much she loved you, even if you treated her like shit. That woman didn't leave your side during your entire recovery, and pulled strings to allow you to do online classes. Calvin, you are a little dickhead," Rafael growled.
Calvin looked at him with angry eyes, before turning and running to the guest room. He slammed the door so hard that a framed picture fell from the wall and crashed to the floor.
Tiffany walked from her bedroom and looked at Rafael and frowned.
"I think you should leave."
"Yeah, that's probably a good idea. That kid is a brat. Have fun."

Strings were pulled, and they released Vivian from jail. The day after they released her, she and Calvin skipped town together. Olivia knew it would happen, and there wasn't really anything to be done. Life moved forward, and Olivia slowly recovered from the months of struggle she had gone through.
Olivia and Rafael fixed some issues they had been experiencing and eventually moved in together. They were in love and decided to move forward with making a life together since neither of them were getting any younger.
"Okay, so how was your birthday?" Rafael asked, as he walked into the livingroom and passed Olivia a mug of some fruity tea he found in the cabinet.
"The best one yet," Olivia smiled. She took the mug before sitting it down on the coffee table.
"Liv, I worked hard to make that for you," Rafael spoke.
"Oh, I know. But I wanted to kiss you, if that isn't an issue," Olivia grinned. Rafael quickly sat his mug down before pulling Olivia close and kissing her deeply.
Per usual, they got heated pretty quickly. Rafael pulled Olivia to her feet and led her to their bedroom. The moment that they started to undress themselves, a knock sounded on the door. Rafael groaned and scrubbed his hand down his face.
"Are you kidding me?" Rafael grumbled.
"Hey, it's okay. Get naked and I'll be back soon," Olivia smiled.
"Be careful, Liv. Okay?" Rafael spoke, as he looked her over.
"I'll look through the peephole and see who is here. Don't worry."
Olivia walked from the bedroom, making sure to shut the door behind her. She turned on a few lights, then walked to the door. Looking through the peephole, she saw a boy with messy brown hair and a dirty face. For a moment, she tried to figure out who stood there before finally realizing.
"C-calvin?" Olivia whispered to herself, as she felt her chest tighten with anxiety.
