Olivia lay quietly in her hospital bed, an IV of antibiotics in her arm and fresh stitches in her midsection. The hospital insisted on calling the police after Olivia was rushed back via an ambulance, but Olivia refused to speak. Casey respected her wishes and talked the doctors down until they took the hint and stopped talking about calling the police.

"How are you doing?" Casey asked as she walked into the hospital room with Amanda. Olivia looked at her and frowned deeply, her face still streaked with tears.

"Where did I go wrong? I feel like I don't deserve to be a mother to either of my kids," Olivia whispered.

"Liv-" Amanda started, but Olivia stopped her with a shake of her head.

"My son hates me, my daughter is on support for breathing and is using a feeding tube, and I can't help either of them. It's like everything I try to do that is good, ends up being bad. I ruined their lives and neither of them will forgive me," Olivia replied.

Casey stepped closer to the bed and gently smoothed Olivia's hair before kissing her forehead.

"Hadley is only a few days old, so she'll forgive you. She doesn't even know that she has to forgive you. Calvin is going to realize that you didn't mean for this to happen and that he is the one who needs to apologize," Casey breathed.

"I'm gonna be here for a few more days... Can you guys take Calvin back to my place and look after him? I think Fin is probably pissed off at him and doesn't want to deal with him anymore," Olivia sighed.

"I'm pissed off at him too," Amanda grumbled.

"Please," Olivia whispered. Casey nodded as she glanced at Amanda.

"Of course, Liv. We got him covered. Do you want one of us to stay with you tonight?"

"No, I'm fine. Thank you, though. If anything comes up with him, call me right away."

Casey and Amanda arrived at the precinct a few hours after Olivia was rushed to the hospital. Nick was sitting in his desk chair but was facing the doors, just waiting for someone to come back with news.

"How is she?" Nick demanded.

"She had to get stitched up again and is on antibiotics. They will probably keep her for a few days," Casey replied. Nick let out a sigh of relief as yelling sounded from an interrogation room.

"Is that Calvin?" Amanda asked.

"Calvin, Fin, and Tiffany Owens are back there. Fin threatened to arrest Calvin for assaulting Olivia, so I called Tiffany to see if she could help at all," Nick replied as he stood.

The trio walked back to the viewing window and watched as Calvin had a complete meltdown. He was kicking the chairs and yelling, his small hands balled up into bruised fists.

"Calvin, please sit down!" Tiffany exclaimed as she stood side-by-side with Fin for protection.

"I'm getting treated like a bad guy when my mom hurt the baby!" Calvin screamed.

"She didn't hurt the damn baby, Calvin! Things just happen sometimes!" Fin yelled back.

Calvin stomped along the floor, his hands still balled into fists.

"I don't want to stay with her anymore! Put me somewhere else!" Calvin demanded as he turned to look at his former case worker.

Tiffany sighed deeply as she rested against the brick wall.

"Calvin, I'm only here to help talk through this with you. You aren't in danger and you aren't being neglected. I cannot remove you from your mother's house because you are her legal son now. Please, sit down and we can talk," Tiffany replied.

Calvin looked at her for a long moment before slowly sinking down against the far wall. That isn't what she meant, but she wasn't going to push the boy to follow her directions.

"Calvin, what you did to your mother is unacceptable. Even if she hadn't just had major surgery, shoving your mother was wrong. Detective Tutuola is being nice enough to not charge you with assaulting your mother and sending you to juvenile detention."

"I didn't do anything wrong," Calvin huffed, which made Fin laugh bitterly. He walked to where Calvin sat and stared him down.

"You think you can do nothing wrong, and that is a huge issue. You need to get your shit together and realize that this woman is the best thing to happen to you, and you are fucking it up. Now, get your ass up and sit at the fucking table," Fin spat. Calvin slowly stood before being dragged to the table by his arm.

Fin shoved Calvin into his seat before joining Tiffany across from him. Fin stared down the boy that he didn't understand how Olivia loved. Calvin's face was red with anger, but he also looked a little scared.

"You are going to apologize to Olivia for pushing her and treating her like crap. If you don't, I will arrest you for assaulting her. You'll spend a few years in juvi and probably end up in a group home after your sentence. Now, if you don't want to get your skinny ass kicked by kids twice your size and in for worse crimes, I'd get to apologizing," Fin huffed.

Olivia slowly walked from the bathroom, a hand cradling her aching belly. She had gone down to see Hadley for a few hours and now just wanted to sleep. The door to her room opened slowly, and Olivia turned to see her son and best friend standing there.

"C-calvin?" Olivia asked quietly, her eyes wide with shock.

"Go ahead," Casey encouraged.

"What's happening?" Olivia breathed.

"I don't want to," Calvin whispered as he looked up at Casey.

"Apologize and mean it, or you know what Fin will do," Casey breathed.

Olivia frowned deeply as she slowly climbed into bed. She tugged the blankets over her legs as tears burned her eyes.

"I don't want an apology from Calvin if he doesn't mean it. If you don't believe that you did something wrong, then I don't know how this entire thing will work out," Olivia frowned.

"Liv."

"No, Casey. Clearly, my son thinks he can act out without consequences. Hadley is doing better this morning and if I hadn't been hospitalized yesterday, Calvin would have joined me today and met her. Instead, he is going home and will be grounded until I decide otherwise."

Calvin's jaw dropped because he rarely got punished by his mother. Yet this was different. He didn't just talk back or choose to skip chores. He hurt her and now needs to deal with the consequences of his own actions.

"Mom-"

"Calvin, Aunt Casey is going to watch you until I get released. There will be no TV, video games, or dessert. You will start your classes and will only do your classes. If there is any pushback, I will add more things to your list of things you may not do. Do you understand me, Calvin Benson?" Olivia said sternly. Once again, Calvin was in shock and nodded slowly.
