Olivia slowly opened the door to her son's bedroom and padded to where he slept. The light from the hallway disappeared as Casey watched Olivia and Calvin.

"Cal, wake up," Olivia whispered as she caressed her son's messy brown hair. It was still early and Calvin hadn't known that his mother had left to pick up his baby sister or that she had returned.

"Mom?" Calvin yawned as he stretched under the sheets.

"Buddy, open your eyes. I have a surprise for you," Olivia replied. Calvin opened one eye and squinted at his mother.

"What's that?" Calvin asked.

"It's Haddie," Olivia said with a small smile. Calvin opened his other eye and stared at his mother in shock.

"That's Haddie? Why is she here?" Calvin asked as Casey turned on the overhead light. Calvin sat up quickly before his mother sank on the edge of the bed.

"We found out a few days ago that she could come home, so I wanted to surprise you. Are you happy?" Olivia asked as she showed her month-old to her big brother.

"Of course, I'm happy, Mom! Haddie is finally home with us!" Calvin exclaimed.

"Shh, baby. I know you are excited, but we don't want to scare her," Olivia replied as she took an arm away from Hadley and smoothed her son's hair. He slid closer to his mother before kissing the top of Hadley's head.

"I've been waiting so long for you to come home, Hadley. I've tried to be good so Mom doesn't get stressed, and to make sure she can trust me with you," Calvin whispered. Olivia smiled at her son before looking at Casey.

Her friend was smiling softly at the sight in front of her. Olivia motioned for her to come join them, but Casey shook her head and slowly left the room.

Olivia let Calvin hold Hadley for a while, before having him get around for the day. Once her son was in the bathroom, Olivia found Casey in the kitchen.

"Hey, are you okay?" Olivia asked quietly.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Casey replied. Olivia had known Casey for many years and knew that her friend wasn't okay. Olivia laid Hadley down in her bouncer before moving to where her friend stood. She gently ran her hand over Casey's lower back before resting her chin against her shoulder.

"C'mon, Case. What's bothering you?"

Casey took a slow breath and turned to face her best friend. She stared at her for a long moment, before leaning in and kissing her lips softly. Casey pulled away after a moment, and Olivia was staring at her with wide eyes.

"I have loved sleeping beside you every night and taking care of you. Now that Calvin is doing better and so are you, there isn't a need for me. So I'll pack up and-"

"Woah there, red," Olivia interrupted.

"Red? When did you-"

"Do you think you can just kiss me and then leave? That isn't fair," Olivia breathed.

"Liv-"

"Do you know how many times I just lay there and watched you sleep at night? The way your shirt is barely covering you, and you always sleep with a small smile on your lips. You have taken such good care of me and have loved me through everything... I'm so glad that you kissed me this morning because I needed that confirmation of my feelings," Olivia smiled as she placed her hand on Casey's ass.

Casey looked at her friend, her eyes drifting down to her lips.

"Really?" Casey asked.

"Really. So if you don't want to pack up and go back to your apartment, I'll make room for your stuff in my room," Olivia smiled. She leaned in and kissed her best friend a few times before leaving the kitchen.

Hadley's first day at home was great. She was spoiled with lots of cuddles and kisses, along with everyone's attention. Calvin doted on his baby sister and was always willing to help his mother or aunt with diaper changes and feeds. As the night progressed, and Calvin hesitantly climbed into bed, Olivia decided to tell Calvin about what she and Casey had talked about. There was so much change happening, but Olivia was hoping Calvin would take this change better than the changes before.

"How are you feeling?" Olivia asked as she sat on the edge of Calvin's bed.

"Tired. I didn't realize how hard being a big brother would be," Calvin said with a tired smile. Olivia smiled back at him before leaning down and kissing his forehead softly.

"Do you like having Casey staying here?" Olivia asked, as Calvin grabbed her hand and played with it.

"Of course I do... Why?"

"I think Casey might move in here. We..."

"I saw you kiss her," Calvin laughed.

"Huh?" Olivia replied, her cheeks growing red and hot.

"In the kitchen, I saw you and Casey kissing. I kinda assumed you guys were already together," Calvin spoke. Olivia blushed a darker red, which she didn't think was possible.

Olivia leaned forward and ran her fingers over her pajama pants. She didn't know what else to say, especially since her son had seen all the kisses that had been shared.

"So, are you okay with it?" Olivia finally asked.

"Does she make you happy?"

"Casey is my best friend, and I have loved her for some time. I know that this is a different type of love that will be developing... Yes, she makes me happy," Olivia rambled.

"Then I'm okay with it. Then she can help us out with Hadley," Calvin grinned. Olivia nodded slowly before turning to look at her son.

"Thank you for being so understanding and being such a big help today. I love you, Cal. Sleep well."
