Where I End (Book 3 to the Why me series)

Chapter 27 - June 4 2015

I'm in PE class playing "Sharks and Menos". I'm really good at this game, right now I'm the last girl left, the rest are boys. My PE teacher blows the whistle and I begin to sprint. People are running to me trying to tag me but keep missing, I'm about to make it to the other side but then my friend Aina comes up and tags me. I am out.

"Ughhhh! Thanks a lot Aina I was on a roll" I yelled.

"Hehe I love you Kyoko" she said with puppy eyes.

"Yeah whatever" I said madly. I looked over to Kaito who also got out. Then I saw Luka, a small 7th grade girl, walked up to Kaito and start talking to him with a smile on her face. I really have lost to Aiko and Luka.

After school I told my friend Eli (domodrama) that I liked Kaito and she promised to keep it a secret. Good Eli. Me and Eli walked down to Mr. Hashimoto's class for tutoring and as always Hiro was there waiting for me. We were talking like always then I whispered into Eli's ear something about Kaito.

"Okay I won't" she said. I gave her a smile and nodded my head.

"Thank you I don't want anyone to know" I said. Hiro looked up to me and gave me a confused look.

"Wait what" Hiro said puzzled. "Kyoko do like someone" Hiro asked quickly and curiously.

"No" I said lowering my head and blushing.

"Yeah you do, who is it" he asked.

"No one" I said looking down.

"Kyoko. Please tell me I want to know. I won't tell anyone, you can trust me" said Hiro in a serious voice. I'm so going to regret doing this.

I sighed and turned over to my friend Mami "Mami...tell him" I said. She gave me a look and shook her head. "And why not" I asked.

"I kinda forgot his name" she said as she started to laugh.

"Ugh Kyokoooo" Hiro complained.

"Okay okay okay" I said. I went up to him and whisper Kaito's name in his ear.

"Kaito!? You like Kaito" Hiro said in shock.

"Ehhh" I said nervously. Hiro began to fake barf, right then and there I knew he was jealous.

"Kaito?! Kyoko no offense or anything but if you and Kaito become a thing it isn't going to work out. No offense" said Hiro. Your soooo jealous. I just gave Hiro a blank stare.

"And why him? Hiro asked.

"Find out the reason I started to like you and there's your answer" I said.

"Wait what" Hiro questioned.

"Ooo Kyoko so you still like Hiro" said Shiro.

"What?! No" I said.

"So you don't care about him then" Shiro said.

"Of course I do" I yelled. Why'd you yell.

Shiro got his arm and put Hiro in a head lock "Tell the truth Kyoko, don't deny your feels" Shiro said.

"Shiro! Leave him alone" I said pushing Shiro away from Hiro.

"Haha! Yeah Kyo tell Hiro your true feelings" said Mami.

"Kyoko do you still care about me" Hiro asked. My eyes widen a bit and I just stayed speechless.

"Yeah you still like me" Hiro said.

"What" I said back.

"You still like me Kyoko...dont deny your true feelings" said Hiro as he was walking into the classroom. I can't believe he just said that.

For the rest of the day Hiro was bothering me, and it kinda got annoying. Okay I know what I will do, at the end of the day when Hiro bothers me again I'll tell him my answer.

At the end of tutoring Hiro came up to me. He had his head down and his cheeks were a little but pink, what was he going to say?

Hiro opened his mouth then Mr. Hashimoto said "Hiro there is someone waiting in the office for you so you may leave now". Hiro looked over to the door and left without an other word.

Ah, I was going to tell him. I was going to say if I liked him or not. I know my answer would determine where we will end. The thing is...my answer...it would take me down a path I didn't want to go down. A path I was trying to avoid. The only question is, when I tell Hiro my answer, will he take us down a path we have already been down?
