Desperate

It's true, I wanted Heath to claim not just his daughter but also me. I'm not lying by saying that I'm also afraid he'll question her legitimacy.

But that wasn't my plan in the first place I got here. The first few weeks of being here my only intention was hide her after the solving the problems here then, well fly back to America. I didn't know how I got to stay here for good. I just woke up one morning deciding to stay here for good. If you'll ask me if it's the time I saw Heath, again? Yes it's true.

My mind shut down while I decided for it.

And now that I realized my mistake I will find time to talk to Heath properly so we can talk about my daughter. It's Giselle's rights to see her father after all. I'm just to selfish for my own reasons.

"D, that's enough!" Galit na saway sa akin ni Elio.

Hindi ako nakinig at inubos ang isang baso ng alak. Kumalat ang init sa aking systema. I grab the salt and the lemon.

Tinalikuran ko siya at nag tungo sa railings. When a waiter was about to walk past me, I grabbed one glass of tequila...straight.

Ngumuwi ako.

I'm going to celebrate my sad girl era.

Sumunod sa akin si Elio habang nagtungo ako sa baba. I wanted to dance. Drift my thoughts to something else.

"D, please, let's go back upstairs..."

Dahan dahan nalunod ang tinig ni Elio dahil sa malakas na music sa dancefloor. I was hype up and started to move in rhythm. I swayed my hips back and forth. Touch the side of my body while grinding. I close my eyes and feel the music.

Gusto kong iumpog ang ulo ng bigla sumulpit sa isipan ko ang imahe ng lalaki. Ang akala ko naka move on na ako. I thought I wouldn't feel anything when I'll see him again. Pero isang tingin lang ng mata niya nakukumahog nanaman ang puso ko patungo sa kanya. Kong alam ko lang kulang pa ang dalawang taon para kalimutan sana hindi nalang ako umuwi.

I can feel the warm bodies around me. I didn't mind and continue dancing. The music change and a Spanish song started to play. I was sweating but I love how free I am dancing intoxicated with alcohol I can't think straight.

As I felt more of them who wanted to dance with me I stop. I open my eyes and look at them eager to be close to me.  Umalis ako sa pwesto ko at nagtungo sa bar counter. I raise my hand so the bartender went to me.

"Two Tequilas."

Tumango siya at kinuha ang bote ng alak bago nilagay sa aking baso.

How many did I drink? Lost count!

May bumagsak ng bill sa tabi ko. Dinilat ko ang aking mata at nakita ang galit na mata ni Elio.

"Baby boy!" I shriek and gigiled.

I was about to hug him but he push my hands away.

"That's enough tequila, Deira!"

I pouted.

"Are you going to stop my fun?!"

"No, but please drink moderately." He reminded me.

Umirap ako. "Tsk."

"You won't leave this bar without me. You'll find me if you want to go home." Matigas niya sabi. "I'll check on you every five minutes. No more alcohol!"

Ngumisi ako at tumango.

"Yes, yes no more."

"Geez, where's Mateo when you need him." Maktol nito at tinalikuran na ako para mag tungo sa table namin sa itaas. Pinagmasdan ko lang siyang magtungo sa taas at sumandal sa railings upang tignan ako.
