MARISOL's POV

"so what's this about a friendly clásico in less than two weeks?"

"you think we know? there's never been one."

"ni me recuerdes. (don't even remind me)" my dad scoffs from the front seat while gavi and i giggle to ourselves from the back.

he was already here when we remembered they would start training today for it and i came along for two reasons: they needed more photos of me and i needed to go through the medical every player has to go through along with my dad.

plus when i'm done with everything i'll get to watch them for a while.

"no se porque pensé que iba estar silencio las calles. (i don't know why i thought the streets were gonna be quiet)" gavi and i move to my side of the window when our eyes widen out of our sockets. "pero nos falta mucho tiempo para llegar. (but we still have so much to before we get there)" disbelief is all we feel.

"lock the doors, papa." there was banging on the windows and gavi and i took our own seats buckling up when i felt my dad speed up.

"why's it feel like we're in gta?" gavi whispers because of the tension in and outside of the car.

"THE ROBBERY GAME?!"

"and then someone got a jersey caught on the tires and then some guy tried to climb on top of the car and then-"

"i can't tell if you guys are making this up or not."

"they're not." my dad finally says walking into the main doors after checking to see if the car was okay from the parking lot now that we're safe. "i'm just glad you two are okay."

"two? there was three of us." i point out to pedri.

"gavi no es tan importante. (gavi's not that important)" it shouldn't have been as funny as it was, but i'm bursting out laughing while gavi smacks pedri across the face. "sabes que te odio, verdad? (you know i hate you, right?)"

"quisieras odiar una cara como la mía. (you'd want to hate a face like mine)"

"that was a lame comeback."

we shouldn't even be here right now. they have to go train and i need to go get my medical test done. i don't necessarily know where to go until a nice lady at the front desk's realizes we're all just kind of standing here.

"marisol, i can take you to your medical test. gavi, pedri, if you'd lead leo to where you'll all be training that'd be nice."

"i think i know the way. vamos chicos. (come on guys)"

pedri and gavi don't know what to think after my dad gives me a hug before he leaves and leads the way. "uh, we'll see you later, mari!" now they're having to play catch up as gavi says that mid run. the woman and i laugh and go the other direction till we enter a room i haven't seen in forever.

but first they had me change into the training kit. it's no longer the turquoise i liked, but it'll do.

"do you remember what you have to do or?"
