━───Not so surprisingly, Kartein fell into the trapped that is carefully woven by Kayden and agreed to help Jiwoo. However, the great healer himself argued that even if he can help in improving Jiwoo's condition, he is still against the idea of having Jiwoo fight the match because the responsibility of healing Jiwoo should something unexpected happen would surely fall on his shoulder. Kartein was a bit reluctant to spend too much of his awakened power and risked his own just for Kayden's apprentice. Heck, he has his own apprentice to worry about.Unfortunately, his own apprentice isn't at all interested in helping him fend off this evil called Kayden. The young girl was too focused on her book, and upon hearing the constant half-argument of Kayden and Kartein about this and that caused her to be distracted.
Standing up, Chiye took out the dark tinted glasses that Kayden gave her back then and wore it, feeling lazy to tie up the bandages on her eyes. "I'll be going out for a while."
"Huh? It's already night..." Kartein was a bit worried as he watched Chiye waved at him assuringly, silently saying she'll be alright. It took a great amount of control from Kartein not to scold the young girl from being so careless and dismissive about the upcoming match, choosing to read a useless book and walk in the night instead of practicing her force control. "Don't stay outside for too long."
Chiye smiled, slipping her feet in her shoes. "Got it."
Kayden rolled his eyes watching this. He glanced at Kartein, "Are you really just gonna let her be? I didn't know you're such an irresponsible teacher."
"What?" Kartein's tone was sharp, her golden irises glared coldly at Kayden. "I, Kartein, is anything but irresponsible. If you have time to worry about my apprentice, I'd rather you train Jiwoo instead so he won't end up dying because he has a reckless person who can offend anyone as his teacher!"
Kayden: ...
Having nothing to use against those words, Kayden just rolled his eyes and sigh. He decided that it's better not to provoke Kartein, so he tried to talk calmly. "I'm just confuse why you let her be and act so indifferently about the match. I know you're arrogant but as a teacher, you shouldn't leave Chiye like that. You want her to fight against that brat Duke without even the slightest bit of preparation?"
