The room was silent.

To Kayden, the silence carried a gloomy feeling that makes him aware something is wrong. But what's bothering him the most is the fact that Kartein— a great healer who appears to be never bothered by anything given his high sky ego of being 'great', has a look of confusion and bewilderment that looks almost akin to...a lost child who can't understand something.

‘What the hell. The air feels...kinda depressing.' Kayden frowned and stared at Kartein for a while.

“Looks like you have a problem weighing you somehow. Is it because I agreed to fight your student?”

Kartein snapped out of his thoughts and glanced at the orange cat.

In an attempt to lighten up the mood which Kayden is starting to hate, he said. “Don't worry. I won't go hard on a kid.” then he thought, ‘Even if I want to, she could heal herself.’

“That's not...” Kartein paused before he sigh. Massaging his forehead, the corner of his lips fell before he looked at Kayden in irritation. “Why did you even accept it? I thought you don't pick fights with kids."

Kayden, “I pick fights with anyone.”

Kartein rolled his eyes, “Make sense. You're a lunatic after all. But Kayden, that's not what I meant.”

Kayden Break has always been fighting people, challenging and provoking different types of individuals. However, even if that's exactly the case, Kayden Break has limits and he knew which fight to start and finish. He wouldn't pick a fight with a kid, especially not Chiye.

In Kartein's mind, trying to pick a fight with Chiye equals trying to pick a fight with him(Kartein).

Kayden was silent for a while before he sighs and explains. “Your student looks determined, and I can see she really wanted— no, I can feel she needed to fight."
