The wrong lover

Chapter 19

- Katniss PoV -

Today is the day. Coin is shipping me off to the Capitol before the week has ended. I have gotten many goodbyes from my family. Just as I think it's time to leave Prim walks in with a letter, it's for me.

- Someone wanted to give you this. You won't get to know who it is. Prim says filled with tears.

Dear Katniss.
I love you so much Katniss. I will never forget you and I hope we can get you back from the Capitol after your arrival. I just want you to be in my arms and if you are I will never let you go. I love you so deeply much and I hope you return to us.
From: The boy with the bread. 

- Who is the boy with the bread? I ask Prim and she smiles at me.

- Just think about it. She says before leaving.

After minutes more and I keep thinking about the letter. The boy with the bread. He loves me, I probably love him aswell. I see guards coming putting me in the wheelchair. They put me in the elevator and minutes pass before I'm on the hovercraft on my way to the Capitol. 

(Hours later)

We have finally arrived in the Capitol. They help me out of my wheelchair and they try to help me to walk. The hovercraft door open and outside stands Snow with probably hundreds of peacekeepers. He smiles at me as the guards lets me go infront of him. They walk towards the hovercraft leaving me here with the monster.

- Look who decided to show up. After 6 days! I was ready to send that bomb straight on district 11. Making me bomb 13,12,11. I'm guessing later on 10 would have been gone aswell. Snow says smiling at me.

I don't say anything to him. I just want him to leave me alone.

- Whilst you were gone we did some research about something. We finally made it and you shall be our first test on a human. Snow says, a doctor walks up on his side.

- It may kill her. She only have about a five precentage chance of survival. The doctor says.

- This girl has survived the impossible. I don't care the chances are low. I want it to happen. Snow says before grabbing me.

He hands me over to some peacekeepers that continue grabbing me into his mansion. They take me to a special room where they lock me in a chair with different syringes filled with liquid. I listen in on their conversation.

- You sure her body will fully heal by this? Snow asks the doctor. 

- I have made it to fully heal her body until she escapes the hijacking. Just incase it happens. Then all her wounds will reappear. The doctor says.

- Good. Start the process. Snow says.

This doesn't look good for me. As they strap me down and the door locks I feel all of the syringes going into my skin. I don't scream in pain as I bite my tongue instead. 

The door opens and I look in the mirror to find my eyes to be red. I see president Snow walking in and I get filled with honour. He visited me.

- What an honour President Snow. I say to him just as they take my restraints of.

- My pleasure miss Everdeen. Snow says.

- Do you have a mission for me? Snow asks me.

- Kill Peeta Mellark. He says to me.

- That will be easy to handle President Snow. I say and salute him before he walks out.

I hear their whispers as he walks away.

- That was a succees. He whispers to the doctor.

- Does this mean my family is safe? The doctor asks back.

- Yes. Snow says before I can't hear anything more.

Peacekeepers walks with me into a room that has knives and bows and arrows. I quickly takes some knives and put them in my pockets and I train some with them. I throw the knives at some targets and hit right in the heart or head. I realise I'm down using the knives and I move on onto the bow and arrows. I take one and load my bow before hitting right through the targets heart, first try. I stay hours keeping training, I don't feel tired. I feel unstoppable.

- Snow's PoV -

- The rebels have reached district 2! It's total chaos! Send backup! They say on the phone.

- I'll send squad 451. I say hanging up on them.

- Are you sure she is ready Snow? A peacekeeper near me asks.

- She is. Get her ready and send her. It's our only hope of keeping district 2. I say to him and he salutes before walking down to the room she is in.

- Katniss PoV -

I land in district 2 with my knives and my bow and arrows. My team of peacekeepers is behind me with their guns and shiny white armour. Mine is fully red as it represents pain and blood. As I walk forward I see the burning buildings and I despise the rebellion for what they have done here, the poor people. As I reach my destination I see a bunch of rebels surrounding people from district 2, the rebels have guns pointing at them. I hear Peeta having a speech to them trying to get them to join the rebellion.

I throw a knife at a rebel seeing me. I take my bow and I load it with an arrow. I explode an area filled with rebels and everybody begins panicking. I take one of my knives beginning coming closer and I kill maybe six rebels on my way to Peeta. He is getting pulled back by Haymitch but fighting it back, perhaps he wants to die. He looks at me in fear as he stares into my red eyes. I throw myself at him and I cut him on the cheek leading it to bleed. He pushes me off and I stare into his beautiful blue eyes.

After seconds of staring in his blue eyes I begin forgetting what I am doing here. My eyes turn grey and I take a look at my red armour. I look at Peeta again and he stares in my eyes seeing their grey again. I look at his bleeding scar going across his left cheek, I know that I did that.

I look at the knife in my hand and as I stare into his eyes I stab myself in my heart. I twist the knife around and I yell out in pain. I look and see that the last peacekeeper has fallen and Peeta comes rushing up to me. Haymitch is trying to pull him back but Peeta wins over him.

- Hey handsome. I say to Peeta as his face is over mine.

- Hey beautiful. Let's get you home so you can heal. Peeta says kissing me.

- I'm just going to take a quick nap. I say pushing his arm away.

- No Katniss. Don't fall asleep, stay awake with me. Stay with me. Peeta says in a worried voice.

- I'm so tired. I say as the wounds I had appear again. 

- You're fine, we're fine. Just stay with me. Peeta says as he starts crying.

- One last kiss. I say to him as I lift my head closing the gap between us.

Haymitch pulls him off of me as a hovercraft grabs my body off of the ground, it's the Capitol's.

- YOU CAN'T JUST LET THEM TAKE HER!! Peeta yells before I fall asleep. Hoping it all would end.
