- Peeta's PoV -

It's been a long time since they threw me in this jail. I have gotten food delivered to me but nobody has spoke to me. I still think the thing I did was right. It's been a week perhaps, something like that. I hear the door opening thinking it's my food or something but instead it's Haymitch.

- Hey Peeta. Haymitch says before taking a seat close to me.

- Hey Haymitch. Are you dissappointed in me? I ask him.

- No. The thing you did was right. She was on the same path as Snow, Plutarch knew that aswell. He answers.

- How is Katniss? I ask him.

- She is fine, she has been better. The doctors are trying to get her to train her body. She refuses without you my boy. If she doesn't train her body won't get better. Haymitch says.

- Why can't they get me out of here if it was right? I ask him annoyed.

- We are, you are going back to 12. Plutarch managed to free you and get you back to your district. You can't be seen here in the Capitol. I'll be with you. He says helping me up.

- What about Katniss? I ask him.

- They won't let you see her. They are afraid that your murder might trigger her. Haymitch says.

- Okay... I'll go, I just want someone to say goodbye to her for me. I say to him.

- I'll tell Prim about it before we leave. Write her a letter. Haymitch says pulling me out.

We head to the mansion and he helps cover my face. Nobody saw me, I hope. We get there and I walk into my room. I pack all my stuff which isn't a lot. I take a piece of paper and I begin writing my goodbye.

Dear Katniss
I have to go because of what I did. Don't take it personally, I love you very much, a lot. I don't get to say my final goodbyes to you in person unfortuantly. I don't even know if I get to write this letter to be honest. Just know that I love you and please train for me. I will be going to district 12 and if you heal maybe you can get to come to me one day. Just get better, for me.

From the boy with the bread, your lover.

I finish writing the letter after that and I am almost filled with tears. I take the letter and I give it to Haymitch. I wait indoors as he delivers it, he comes back a few minutes later. We take our luggage and now the streets are empty. It's around midnight as we walk to the train.

I get on the train waiting for my district, my home. I just wish I could have said a proper goodbye to Katniss my love, or that she could have join me in district 12. Me and Haymitch just sit in akward silence, there is nothing to do or say, I wish Katniss was here.

- Katniss PoV -

From the boy with the bread, your lover.

I finish reading the goodbye letter from Peeta. I don't want him to leave me here. I burst into tears and Prim comes to hug me. My doctor is also standing here trying to get me to train again.

- If I train for a week straight, can I get to go home? I ask them.

- Fine, if you train every single time I ask. With no complaints. My doctor says annoyed, she truly has something against him.

( A week later)

I have trained every single day just as I have been told. Next time she is walking in it's with papers. I get to sign them to say that I am no longer a patient here. It's gonna feel good being free for once. The new president has already fixed me a ride back home, President Paylor from district 8. I like her a lot already, not because she is letting me go but because of her leadership.

My doctor walks in with my papers and I begin signing away. As I sign the last form I let out a deep breath, I sign it feeling free for once.

- Congrats Katniss. You are finally free from this hospital. She says to me.

- Thanks. I say.

- Do you need a wheelchair with you? She asks me.

- I'll take one just incase. I say standing up on my own.

- I just have to say the progress you made this week has been more than any of use could have expected. Good job. My doctor says before leaving.

I walk up to the wheelchair and instead of taking a seat in it to take it I start pushing it forward. I get some weird looks from other doctors but right now I don't care, I don't care about anything or anyone to be honest. Only one person, Peeta. He isn't here but I want to find him in 12.

- Where are your papers? The lady in the reception asks me without looking at me.

- Here. I say and she remembers my voice.

- Katniss? Wow, you are a true hero. You rose from the dead! You fired this rebellion, you overcame all possibilities. Good luck out there. She says.

- Thanks. I say taking a seat in my wheelchair from being to tired.

I begin rolling out to the trainstation where I meet Prim and my mother.

- We will be joining you, there is not much to do here. Let's just go home. My mother says taking over the pushing.

We get on the train and it takes off, only a few hours until home. Only a few hours until a rush of memories, only a few hours from him, from Peeta.

(A few hours later)

The train stops and I immediatly hurry out of my seat. I have trained to run but I'm not the best at it. I don't care if I fall right now, I just want to find him.

I run to the victors village, the only part of 12 that hasn't been destroyed. I haven't taken any of my stuff from the train but I hope my mother or sister does it for me. Now I feel a bit bad to leave the stuff for them. As I reach the village I see a blonde guy walking into a home, it looked like Peeta.

I get to the home and slowly but surely I manage to get up the stairs. By now my family has reached the village aswell.  They go into the home that was ours to leave the stuff before coming to me. I take a seat outside his home to try to catch my breath and wait for my family. They both come rushing out of the house real quick and they help me up. I knock on the door and only a few seconds after the door opens, Peeta is there.

He looks down, I think he believes it's Haymitch. After not hearing anything he looks up and I throw myself into a hug with him.

- I love you Peeta. I say to him.

- I love you too Katniss. He says.

That was the perfect moment, years later me and him had two kids.

It's a story with a good ending. Katniss and Peeta both had a few nightmares in the end, and she had a few flashbacks but they were very rare. They lived happily every after.
