The wrong lover

Chapter 29

- Katniss PoV -

Coin exuses us to leave and Peeta gets off his chair to help me real quickly. All the other victors just stare, they want to know what happened. I manage to move my body back into my wheelchair but at that point my body has almost given up. I try to take deep breaths to get enough air.

- Katniss are you okay? Peeta asks me concerned.

- Yeah. I'm just not very trained. I get tired easily. I reply.

- Do you want to go back to the hospital? Peeta asks me.

- I want to go see nature. I haven't looked at my favorite color in a year. I say catching my breath.

All the victors are still in the room listening to our conversation. Well not everybody, Johanna and Enobaria left when they could. Finnick and Annie walks up to us and that's the moment where Beetee leaves. 

- May you take that outside? I have a lot to do. Coin says.

I don't even get to respond before Peeta begins pushing me out. The door closes as we all leave. Finnick and Annie seems to want answers.

- What happened? Why didn't we get to know she was alive? How long, what has happened? Tell me everything! Annie asks us excited.

- She was dead for eleven months... I begin before they cut me off.

- Dead for eleven months?!!! How is she alive now? Finnick and Annie asks us at the same time.

- A miracle. Well to continue our story. Her body was slowly going to be paralyzed, so after some time she got a surgery to fix it. It was success and now she is healing. She fell into a coma after the surgery that only lasted one day. After that she has been getting better and training. Right Katniss? Peeta says.

- Yeah. I guess so. I say tiredly.

I tilt my head to the side and I feel my eyes almost closing on their own.

- Katniss? Peeta asks as if I zoned out.

- I'm just going to sleep for a minute. I say and I fall back into darkness.

- Peeta's PoV -

Just as she falls asleep I try to feel her puls. She has one and her chest looks to be breathing normally.

- I'm sorry. Just her last words for those eleven months when she was dead it was something like I'm just going to sleep for a minute. If I go out with her I need to check her puls and breathing everytime she falls asleep. I say to them.

- Well thanks for the updates. I hope she gets better. We will stop by sometime. Finnick says before leaving with Annie.

I look at Katniss and she looks so peaceful sleeping. I know she wanted to see nature but I'll take her to the hospital instead. I kiss her on the lips before pushing the wheelchair to the hospital. I lift the wheelchair of the ground when I reach the stairs so I don't wake her up. I place her down slowly and carefully.

The gates open and just as before people stare a lot. Some even takes photos, I don't think she will appreciate that. I walk down the corridor to her room, we get there some seconds later. As I walk in Boggs is standing there waiting for either me, Katniss or both of us. I open the door and put Katniss back in her bed before greeting him.

- You are supposed to get ready for the execution now. It's time. Boggs says.

- Okay, but can someone tell Katniss where I went when she wakes up. I say and he nods.

He opens the door but I go back and kiss Katniss on the lips before walking out. I walk next to him because I have no idea where we are going. 

He takes me to a building where I see my old prep team. They are all excited to be working with me again. 

- There's our famous blondie. They say excited before coming to hug me.

- Hey. I say.

They begin putting a thin coat of makeup on me. They also take the mockingjay suit from 13 that I will be wearing. I get a gun with one bullet, and I know who I am going to shoot. If I get a clear shot to shoot Coin I will, she is worse than Snow in my opinion. I mean I hate them both, Snow for the Hunger Games but Coin evens that out with the thought of it. I hate Snow for Katniss torture, but Coin sent her back for even more pain causing in severe pain. I can't let us live with a president that is the same but Snow. If I kill Coin then Snow won't become the president, but if I kill Snow then Coin will become the president. I might get thrown in jail for forever but it's for the people.

- We are all done. Are you excited? They ask me.

- Yeah, I guess I am. I say to them as I stand up from my chair. I take the gun with one bullet and I put it into my belt. 

I get taken to the long road where the tributes where firstly shown before training or interviews, the tribute paraid. I was told to walk down then shoot Snow when Coin finished her speech. I walk down and it feels like an eternity before I reach the end.

With many victors standing besides me and one that truly suprised me. Katniss is standing, her wheelchair is under her incase she gets tired. But she is standing up for me, it must be that.

- Today. A new Panem will build. Our Mockingjay will fire the shot to end all war. To make peace. Coin says, she said a lot more but I really didn't listen. I was just looking and smiling at Katniss. I stop hearing her talk so I take my gun and point it at Snow.

I line up his heart which means I lined up Coin's aswell. I just have to raise my gun before shooting. I look Katniss dead in the eyes before I raise my gun and shoot Coin in the heart. Katniss is still looking at me, she doesn't want to see what is going on. People comes rushing wanting to be the one to kill him. I feel guards pulling me back, I'm going to jail, for a really long time.
