Lapis was in bed wide awake. It's not like she could sleep after finding out she's in love. Ding! Her phone chimed. She jolted up to check it.

'Peri!'

She tapped the speaker icon.

"Um...hi Lapis, it's Peridot—you're already aware of that never mind."

She chuckled.

"Anyway I would've called you, but I would've gone silent to the sound of your voice, it's breathtaking."

'She says whatever's on her mind.'

"Ok, this is why I recorded this, I've been thinking and my strange symptoms are caused by the fact that...I like you—I mean attracted—no, uh I...*inhale* I love you, Lapis. It's fine if you don't return these feeling because it seems these feeling are hard to lose. So in conclusion...I-I will always love you, Lapis. I hope you reciprocate these strange feelings. If not I hope we can remain friends. Also...you were right, it was the best day ever. And in case you were still wondering, you taste like cotton candy. "Oh my gosh!!" She screamed hugging her dolphin.

"Lapis?! Are you ok?! Did you hurt yourself?!"

"No, I-I'm fine, Mama!" She continues to scream in a whisper. "So it's true. I love you too, Peri." A second thought shot her. She looked at her sweatbands.

*Next Day*

'Idiot! Idiot! Idiot!! Great. That stupid text is gonna make it even harder for me to talk to her!' Peri thought blushing.

Too busy having multiple regrets she bumped into someone. 'Why's this always happening to me? My stars, did I run into a brick wall?!'

"What's up, shrimp?"

"Jasper? Sorry, I was lost in thought."

"As always."

"I should get going, I'd like to remain lost there." She said trying to scurry along.

"I'm curious, what were ya thinkin' about?"

"Why?" 'It's not like you think at all.'

"I'm just curious."

She let out a long sigh. "I'm thinking about Lapis, now please let me be."

"Is that so? Guess what."

"...?"

" 'Oh! My name's Peridot and I'm in love with Lapis! I just can't take it! I can't wait to see her and make out! *Smooching noises*' "

That flashback came back again. She managed to calm herself though. "Would you stop that?! I need to get to class." 'Why am I still freaking out about that? It didn't even last long! The only thing about it is the way she...' Peri let out a long sigh.

Jasper laughed. "Now with the other dork." She said with a big smirk.

*Second Period*

'This is the last period 'til I get to see Peri.'

"Dork. Dork. Dork!!"

"Ah. Jasper? Sorry, I was just thinking."

"Geez, what is it with dorks and thinking so much?"

She let out an annoyed sigh. "What do you want, Jasper? This isn't even your class."

"Whatcha thinkin' 'bout, huh?" Jasper asked teasing.
