'Ugh. I feel like crap. I can't believe I stayed up worrying. Who am I kidding, of course I stayed up worrying. I'm going on a date with the coolest person I've ever met! Calm down, for the last time we're just hanging out, Peridot! All I have to do now is call her.' Peri thought and groaned.

'I can't wait. This is so exciting! I hope everything goes smoothly.' Lapis' phone rang.

"Lapis here! Hey, Peri!" She answered happily.

'Who answers the phone like that?' "Yeah, hey Lazuli. Can you give me your address please?"

"Oh sure."

"Alright, see you soon."

"Ok, bye." She hung up.

*TimeSkip*

'I didn't know she lived in the neighborhood.'

Ding!Dong! The doorbell chime.

'Soooo tired!!' She thought yawning. The door opened. Her face felt like fire. "Are...a-are you ready?" 'She looks great!' She put her head down to hide the blush caused by the sight of Lapis.

Lapis lifted Peri's chin up with her thumb and index finger. "What's wrong? Oh, is it the outfit? I couldn't find anything so I just threw some shorts and a crop top on." She chuckled.

"N-No, it's fine! You look amazing!"

The statement caused Lapis to blush and she began leaning towards Peri.

'What's she doing? Isn't this a bit too soon?!' She thought panicking and shutting her eyes tightly preparing for what was coming.

"Well you don't. Pfft! You look like crap!What time did you go to sleep?!" She asked laughing.

Peri opened her eyes and her face turned into a blazing red. "You're right, I stayed up all night 'til 3:00a.m. To be exact." She sighed.

'She stayed up all night thinking about today? Worrying?' She thought snickering.

Peri's entire face turned red, this time out of anger. "Stop that! I'm sure that anyone would be nervous if they were going out with someone as cool as you!" As soon as she said that she covered her mouth to stop anymore from coming out. 'Me and my big mouth!' She thought wide eyed staring at the ground.

"You think I'm...cool?" Red tinted her face. "Really?"

"Well...yeah, Lazuli. I really do think you're pretty cool, hehe." She said red with an awkward smile.

"Um...d-didn't you say you stayed up 'til three? Instead of snow cones, let's just hang out here."

"No no, I'm fine."

You sure? You're yawning and you look like you're gonna pass out."

"No I'm fine, we can still—Whoa!" She picked her up bridal style.

"Yeah right, there's no way I'm having you doze off on our first date. You're coming with me."

"If you insist."

"I do." She giggled.

'Date?'

That was Peri's last thought before dozing off.

*Lapis'room*

She woke up still a little tired. 'Did my alarm not go off? I have to get ready!' "I overslept!! Huh?"

She looked up. "More like you didn't sleep enough." Lapis said smirking.

"..." She jumped out of her arms.
