Here No Matter What

*Monday SecondPeriod*

Lapis seemed like she was on cloud nine for some reason. "Lapis? Is everything alright?" Pearl asked kind of concerned.

"I'm fine." She said smiling in complete bliss.

"You just seem a little dazed out. Are you sure you're ok?"

"I don't know, I'm just so happy." She said still smiling.

"I guess that's a good thing." She said still puzzled by Lapis's bliss.

"I had the best weekend, Pearl."

"Why, what did you do?"

"I was with Peri all weekend. We didn't get any sleep. I asked if she wanted me to go slower, but she said don't hold back. You should've seen her, I never knew she could use her fingers like that when we were-"

"Wait, wait, wait, I thought her parents were staying over."

"They were. They didn't mind us cuddling as long as we kept the door open. We talked and played games for hours, it was all night I tried to go easy on her because she was on such a losing streak. Her fingers were moving so fast across the controller when we were playing. I never noticed how bad she sucks at Mario Karts." She said chuckling.

"Oh, you guys were playing video games.....ahem, uh I-I'm sure you two enjoyed yourselves." She said with a nervous chuckle while blushing.

Lapis sighed happily. "Yeah, she fell asleep with the controller in her hands, she looked so cute. I wish we could relax like that all the time."

*Meanwhile*

Peri looked like she was on cloud nine too. "What's up? Something good happened?" Amethyst asked because of Peri's bubbly mood.

"It's nothing, the weekend just seemed better than the rest for some reason." She said humming the song Lapis played at the party.

"Uh huh, ok. What was so different, besides it being your birthday weekend?"

"I don't know. Being wrapped in Lapis's arms during the weekend felt better than any other time." She said blushing keeping a bubbly smile.

'Nerd' "Ook. Did Mrs. J ever warm up to Lapis?" She asked with a small chuckle.

"I think it might take awhile for that to happen. But at least one of them is completely in love with her." She replied chuckling too.

*ThirdPeriod*

Peri was taking notes as always and Lapis wasn't sleep or dozing off for once. She had her head down admiring Peri working hard.

"Hotshot wannabe, name these three elements. Ne, NaBr, and SnH." Ms. Sugilite said sighing out of boredom. The whole class snickered at Peri's new name.

"Yes ma'am. Neon, sodium bromide, and tin hydride." She answered confidently.

"Got it."

" 'Hotshot wannabe'?" Lapis asked grinning.

"Yeah, I guess she's bad at names." She chuckled rubbing the back of her neck.

"I can see why that's your nickname, you're really smart." Lapis said as she intertwined her fingers with Peri's.

Peri turned red. "I-I try my best."

"You should see your face right now." She said laughing quietly.

"Ok sleeping beauty, since you think your something tell me what K is." Ms. Sugilite asked since Lapis clearly wasn't paying attention. Don't you hate when teachers do that?
