Amethyst sighed deeply over the phone. "I'm so glad Christmas break is finally here."

"I've heard. You thanked God and shouted hallelujah for it countless times."

"What's up, you don't sound anywhere near as excited as me."

"I don't know what to get Lapis."

"Should've known, of course a nerd like you would be worried about that."

"Why aren't you worried? Don't you have a girlfriend to give a gift to as well?"

"I already did. I got her two 1000 piece puzzle, a planner, and baking stuff."

Peri sighed. She couldn't believe that someone like Amethyst planned ahead of time. "Can you help me?"

"Weren't you supposed to be making her a robot ball?"

"They're named robonoids and yes, but she'll be expecting that. I want it to be a surprise. What does Pearl like?"

"A bunch of nerd stuff. Maybe you could play it safe and give her some bath bombs and soap."

"I don't know-" she got another call. "It's Lapis! One sec, I'll talk to you later.

"K Later."

...

"Hey, Peri. You know what today is?"

"Sunday?"

"Yes, but today's Christmas Eve too!! I can't wait to show you what I got you!"

"I can't wait to see."

"Let's spend Christmas at your place. I have the cutest outfit I wanted to show you! do you have decorations up?"

'A cute outfit?...' She blushes and sighed deeply. "I have a few lights up and a tree, I'd say my house looks quite Christmasy."

"I'll be the judge of that." Lapis sighed. "This'll be our first Christmas together, you know? It'll just be you and me tomorrow night."

Peri blushed and smiled softly. "You're right, and it'll be the best Christmas ever."

"I'm holding you to it. I'll call you later. Love you!"

"I love you too. Bye." She ended the call and hopped out of bed. "Ok time to go Christmas shopping." She told herself.

*Mall*

"What would Lapis like? Shoes? No, maybe jewelry, but I've already bought her a necklace. Ugh!" She started to get frustrated with herself for not knowing what Lapis would like after dating her all this time. "I need help." She called her number one adviser.

"Hello Peridot, you need help finding Lapis a gift, right?" Garnet asked already knowing she was right.

"How did you..."

"It's Christmas Eve. and you're a good girlfriend who makes Lapis happy in any way possible."

Peri sighed. "And that's why you're the first one I come to for advice. What do you think she'd like?"

"I'm sure she'd like anything from you."

Peri groaned, she hated that answer. "Garneeeet! You're probably right, but what is the 'anything' I'm supposed to be getting her?!"

"The greatest gift someone can give is the only gift you can't purchase."

Peri sighed. "I hate when you're wise and make it difficult to understand things."

"Good luck with your shopping."

"Wait, you're leaving?! But I still don't know what to get her!"

"I Gave my advice all you have to do is decide to take."

"Thanks? I'll think about that."

"See you later."

..."So much for that." She searched all day for the perfect gift, but nothing she found would ever be good enough for her Lapis.

*Next Day*

She woke up at 8:00am. She was still half asleep because of online shopping last night. "Who is it?" She said tiredly.

"Merry Christmas Peri!!"

"You are such a child. No person in their right mind should be this excited at this hour." She groaned.

"I just can't wait to see you. I'm gonna surprise you, it'll be great!"

Peri yawned. "Yeah I'm sure it will be."

"Well I just wanted to call and say merry Christmas and tell you I'll be there at 6:00."

"Wait, you don't need me to pick you up?"

"How's it a surprise if you see me? I asked Pearl if she could drop me off before heading to Amethyst."

"Oh ok, I'll see you at 6:00 then."

"Later!"

Peri chuckled. "Later."..."Ok what am I gonna get Lapis, I don't have a lot of time left." She told herself determined to get the perfect gift for the night.

*TimeSkip to 6:00*

Peri sighed in defeat. 'I couldn't find a single thing to get her.' Ding Dong! The door bell rang. She opened the door and she was speechless. Lapis came in with a fitted satin blue dress that had a cold shoulder and the necklace Peri gave her. And she had some mid-high white heels on as well. 'My stars she's...' "hot..." Peri quickly put her hands over her mouth. "I-I mean you look cute—no, incredible—I meant beautiful! You look beautiful." She corrected herself blushing heavily.

Lapis chuckled. "Thanks Peri. Are you ready for your gift?"

Peri frowned a little. "Yeah."

Lapis brought two boxes in. Pearl said her goodbyes and wished them both a merry Christmas. "Go ahead."

Peri ripped it open. "A leash? Wow...thanks."

"Now open the other one." Before she could take the top off, a small puppy with a bow wrapped around it jumped out. "When I got her from the shelter they said she likes pumpkin pie a lot so I named her Pumpkin. You can change it if you want."

"Pumpkin's perfect." She said rubbing Pumpkin's tummy. "Ugh! I'm a terrible girlfriend." She said hugging Pumpkin for comfort.

"Why do you say that?" She asked scooting next to her.

"I didn't get you anything for Christmas!"

Lapis started to laugh. "That's what you're so worried about?!" Peri blushed at Lapis's reaction. "Oh Peri, It's ok if you didn't get me anything. I got the best gift here in my arms." She said hugging Peri. Peri smiled. "But there's a gift you might can give me right now." She said pointing to her lips.

Peri turned completely red. "I-I guess I can." She said closing her eyes and leaning closer. She leaned until she was licked in the face. "Ew, gross! Pumpkin!" She yelled blushing while Lapis was laughing.
