A/N: This chapter contains a slight mention of drugs.
*Jasper'sPlace*
Jasper walked in and saw Malachite with the car keys. "Where are you going?"
"What are you doing home so early?" She dodged the question.
"I was bored at school. Where are you going?" She asked again.
Malachite smiled and dangled a small bag full of white powder. 'Is that...!' "Mal! Where—what...What the hell are you doing with that?!"
"I'm doing what I planned." She said walking out the door.
"Mal I-" She stopped herself and let Malachite be.
*AfterSchool*
Lapis and Peri hopped in the car and were on their way to Lapis's house. "Wanna stay over? I still wanna do your hair." Lapis asked.
"Ok. Yeah I'll be over there later."
"Ok, see you soon!" Lapis shouted heading to the door.
When Peri got a good ways from Lapis's house she saw a car about to park in front of the house. She thought it was strange, Ms. Lazuli was already home and she'd never seen that car before. She turned around to park behind it. She got out the car. 'Who is...' "Malachite? What are you doing?" She asked looking at Malachite holding the bag of powder next to Ms. Lazuli's car.
"Aw shit. That's just great, of course it'd be you." She said in an annoyed tone.
"What are you doing?" Peri asked firmly again.
Malachite walked up to her and as she did Peri moved back. Out of nowhere Malachite snatched Peri and covered her mouth with her hand, refraining her from crying for help. As Peri was being pulled to Malachite's car she bit her finger. Malachite winced at the pain trying not to scream and attract attention. Peri squirmed and flailed around trying her very best to free herself from Malachite's grasp. She threw Peri in the back seat. "To be honest this wasn't part of the planned, but I guess I can kill two birds with one stone."
*NextDay*
"Pearl have you seem Peri, Garnet said she wasn't in first period. And she didn't come over yesterday like she said she would."
"No I haven't if anything I thought you'd know."
"Hmm. Maybe Amethyst knows."
*LunchTime*
"No, I haven't seen her. It's not like her to miss a school day, I mean you'd literally have to force her not to come if she was sick."
"And she hasn't been answering her phone."
"Perhaps we should check on her after school."
*FourthPeriod*
"Um...Jasper, have you seen Peridot?" Pearl asked.
"She's missing?" Jasper looked like she'd seen a ghost. She wasn't sure why that was the first thing that came to mind, but she had a hunch about who was behind it. 'It couldn't have been her. It can't be. It's not her!!' Jasper was shocked at the thought of her sister being the culprit of such a thing. Jasper was...afraid. She was afraid to discover her thoughts being true.
*AfterSchool*
Lapis'sPlace"Mama!!"
"I'm here! What's wrong, why are you shouting?!" Ms. Lazuli asked alarmed.
"Peri wasn't at school today, nobody's seen her, and she's not answering the phone!"
"Lapis calm down, maybe something came up she'll probably be at school tomorrow." She said trying to calm Lapis.
"Yeah maybe."
"I have another long business trip so I'm leaving tomorrow, I went grocery shopping so there should be plenty of food." She said patting her head.
Lapis hugged her so tight it seemed like she'd never let go. "Um...be safe. I love you."
Ms. Lazuli's eyes widened. She smiles softly. "I love you too."
After the heartfelt moment Ms. Lazuli and Lapis went to their rooms. Lapis fell on her back on the bed. "Please be here tomorrow." Lapis said as a tear rolled off her cheek. Soon after, she heard a knock on her door. "Come in." She said with her arm covering her eyes. "Huh?" She moved her arm and saw no one was there.
"Down here."
"Oh, what is it Bob? Do you have a message to deliver?" She asked wiping her face from the crying.
"No recent messages have been recorded to be delivered. I noticed your panicked actions when you walked inside. Is everything alright?" Bob asked crawling on the bed.
"To be honest...everything's not alright. I can't rest with ease knowing that Peri's missing. Mama might be right about her showing up tomorrow, but what if she doesn't?" She asked about to cry again.
A huge play button showed up in the air. Lapis pressed it. "Hey Lapis. Before I gave this robonoid to Ms. Lazuli I did a test run. I told it to play this message for you in case you're worried or upset and I'm not by you. I want you to know that I love you so much, nothing's ever gonna change that. What ever problems you're facing right now you're not alone and when you feel weak, scared, or sad it's alright to be all those thing. And it's ok to not be ok, it means you're human. And if you're worried about me I'll be alright, I'm ok. I love you. Robonoid, end message." The message ended.
Lapis wiped her tears away. "Thanks, Bob. You make good company for a robot. Sometimes I forget I'm talking to a robot." She said patting him on the head.
"Of course, Sweetie."
"What am I gonna do though?" She asked out loud.
"I doubt I'll be much, but I'll try to help in anyway I can. I got yo back." He said letting a winking emoji in the air.
Lapis laughed. "Thanks Bob."
*NextDay*
LunchTime"I still haven't heard anything about her." Lapis said.
"Same." Amethyst said
"We should have a search party if everybody has time. And my mom's leaving today so I can stay out longer."
'Shit!!' Jasper thought. Her thoughts and emotions were at war with each other. "..."
"Jasper do you have time? We need all hands on deck." Garnet said.
"....What time is your mom leaving?" Jasper asked.
"A little while after school, why?"
"...I....I have something to say...something serious."
"What is it?" Pearl asked getting worried.
"It's Mal, we have to get to Lazuli's car before Lazuli does. Mal put a bag of heroine in the car to frame her or something."
"What?!" Everyone screamed.
