"What shall we eat?" Amelia asked.

"Oh! How about seafood?! I would love to eat some shrimp!" Madeline cheered.

"Oh...actually...I can't eat seafood," I spoke. Everyone had turned to me quickly except for Alice. She had been staring at me the entire time, and no one noticed. "What? Are you allergic?" Alice asked. She looked eager to hear my answer.

"Oh, it's against my religion to...eat...seafood..." I spoke. However, as I said that, it did not sit right with me. "Oh, I see," she expressed. Alice puckered her lips, turning away. As if judging me.

"Ah, do the two of you know each other? It seems like you both have met!" Amelia asked. It caused Alice and I to laugh, shrugging.

"Ah...well..."

"Yeah...I mean...there was that one thing..."

"Right! That thing... yeah..."

"Yeah..."

It made Madeline and Amelia stare at us, confused. "Well, hopefully, that's good then! Alice needs more friends! Especially since she won't shut up about a girl, she met—OWE!"

Alice suddenly kicked Amelia in the back of her leg. The Alice... it really was her. It made me want to laugh. She was talking about me the entire time. She was trying to find me. "No one wants to hear about that! Can we leave already?" She asked. She pushed them forward, making me laugh.

Alice and I didn't get any less awkward once we arrived at the restaurant. She sat across from me, staring at the menu.

After the other night, we went out separate ways without exchanging words. That night was the best night I had ever experienced. However, I didn't know what to say after it happened.

I mean, is that my fault? Should I have said "Good job" and given her a high-five? Hmmm, I don't think I'd like the idea of her hand touching my hand after they were inside me.

"Great, Italian food is great! What kind of Pizza does everyone want?" Amelia asked. She had started looking at the Greek menu with confusion. None of us knew Greek, but luckily the Greek people were great with English.

"I'm okay with mushrooms," I explained. Everyone agreed with what I said. Thankfully. I was lucky that they wouldn't fight against it. Amelia was the one who stood up to tell them our order and came back with the hugest grin.

"So, how did the two of you meet?" She asked. Madeline nodded at us eagerly, drinking her beverage. "Yes! And why is this the first time we heard of it?!" She added.

"Ah...well..." Alice looked at me, waiting for me to say something. So I did. There is no use in lying. "I was handing out posters for Sunday service, and she took one! That is how!" I explained. I nodded my head, giving a thumbs up.

"What? And you went?" Amelia asked, shocked. "What? No! I took it because..." Alice had stopped. However, anyone could see how nervous the question made her. She was turning red, and it was silly how she tried to cover her face.

Well, they did have a point. What was the point of taking the flyer? Especially since she never showed up to Sunday mass. "Well....I....wanted to take note...in case I considered....going..." she spoke with so much disgust. Jesus, it wasn't as if I was going to convert her. She has some serious problems with religion.

She looked at me, smiling, quickly turning away.

"Wow, what a small world we live in...."

That's when it hit me. I could ask them if they wanted to attend the event the Catholic Society was having next month. "Speaking of flyers! The Catholic society has an event to celebrate school starting. It would mean so much if any of you could make it, but I'd understand if it is a bit too much. I promise they won't try and convert you—"

"And you will be there?" Alice interrupted. This was just like when we first met—asking if I'd be there. "Well, yes, isn't that obvious," I smiled. She smiled back at me, nodding. I could see how Amelia and Madeline had begun turning to us.

"I'll be there....we all will!"

"Hey! Don't volunteer us!"

"Oh! It would be so much fun! Come in, Amelia!! Please!"

Madeline began to make puppy eyes at her sister, soon convincing her to come. "Don't worry, the only holy thing that would happen is the preaching part. Since I'm part of the Society as a new member, I wouldn't doubt that I would have to say a verse...I'm not sure yet. I briefly looked at the flyer," I explained. I wouldn't know what to say, but it couldn't be that bad.

"Well, I wouldn't mind if you were the one preaching," Alice laughed. She had laughed so awkwardly, nudging Amelia to get her to laugh, but she was straight-faced. "Oh? I heard you didn't like anything dealing with religion," I laughed.

Immediately, she snapped her head toward Amelia, who had turned away, smiling nervously. I couldn't help but laugh. Alice seemed odd today. Like she didn't know how to act around me, this was surprising because, between the two of us, she was the confidant one.

Amelia had changed the subject by talking about something else, but I still felt Alice staring at me. It was as if she couldn't process any of this. Believe me; I am equally shocked.

I felt a foot rub against my leg, causing me to look around to the source. It didn't surprise me that Alice was looking at me eagerly. "I'm? Im going to use the restroom," I explained. I stood up from my seat, and she stared at me. "I'll go with you! I need to freshen up, anyway," she spoke.

Madeline and Amelia didn't seem bothered, so Alice followed me.

"Why are you being so awkward?" I whispered. She looked at me, rolling her eyes. "I'm not awkward; I'm only excited to see you. I didn't think I would see you again. Well, if I'm going to be honest, I had begged god to let me see you again, and from some fucked up miracle, you appeared. Starry-eyed and beautiful in your dresses. I swear, I almost got on my knees to repent. But I'm not that much of a Twat," she laughed.

I rolled my eyes at what she said, approaching the restroom. Not to my surprise, it was a one-person room, just like many of the toilets in Greece. "It's for one person," I spoke.

"Yeah, I've seen you naked, so I don't care," she snapped. Alice grabbed my wrist, pulling me. I got into the restroom with her. She was lucky I didn't actually have to use the restroom. I just needed a way to escape for a moment.
