╰┈➤ 𝑨𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏 strolled down the aisles of the grocery store, she never expected to bump into anyone familiar. However, fate had other plans as she turned the corner and found herself face to face with a familiar classmate. They exchanged surprised smiles before greeting each other in a friendly manner."Hey, what a coincidence running into you here," Shinichirou said, adjusting the strap of his grocery bag.
"Yeah, it's unexpected but nice," the girl replied, noticing that Shinichirou seemed a bit overwhelmed with his shopping. "Do you mind if I tag along with you?" she offered, gesturing to his overflowing cart. "Looks like you could use a hand."
Shinichirou's eyes widened in appreciation, and he graciously accepted her help. As they walked together through the store, she couldn't help but notice how much his younger siblings, Emma and Mikey, seemed to adore him.
However, Emma and Mikey's eyes gleamed mischievously as they approached the pair. "Hey, Shinichirou, who's the chick?" Mikey teased, nudging his brother playfully.
Blushing slightly, Shinichirou tried to play it cool.
"Oh, just a classmate helping me out," he replied, hoping to keep any embarrassing details about her to himself.
But little siblings have a way of exposing secrets unintentionally. Emma grinned and spoke up,
"He talks about her all the time! He said she's really smart and that he thinks she's cute!" she exclaimed, not realizing the effect of her words.
The young lady couldn't help but chuckle at Shinichirou's embarrassed expression.
"Oh, really now?" she teased, raising an eyebrow playfully. "You really think I'm cute?"
Shinichirou's face turned a shade of red that matched the tomatoes in the produce section.
"Come on, guys, cut it out," he mumbled, trying to steer the conversation away from the teasing.
Amused by the adorable sibling banter, she felt a warmth in her heart. She had always seen Shinichirou as a reserved and serious classmate—but this encounter revealed a more vulnerable side to him, she found it quite endearing.
As they finished up their shopping, Shinichirou's embarrassment seemed to subside, and he mustered the courage to look her in the eyes again.
"H—hey, uh, would you like to go out...sometime? Maybe for coffee or a movie?" he managed to stutter out, a hint of nervousness in his voice.
She smiled, touched by his bravery to even ask.
"I'd love to," she replied, feeling a surge of excitement at the thought of getting to know him better.
Emma and Mikey exchanged glances, smiling proudly to themselves and giving each other mutual fist-bumps.
