Despite what happened yesterday, today's shooting went really well for Qeef and Eli. Not many retakes are required for each scene. As soon as Eli's finished with her scenes for the day, she immediately calls her mom to pick her up. She's not gonna wait for Qeef to be done with his final scene this time around.
Knowing what she knows now, Eli has decided that there need to be a boundary between she and Qeef. She badly requires the distance to get over him. She's not going to be the third person in Jess and Qeef's relationship. It was such a blessing to her that there wasn't much of physical touch or intimacy during today's shoot. She's also thankful that most of her scenes were with Remy and only three were with Qeef.
It takes her mom 30 minutes to get to where she is, which feels like eternity to Eli. She wants to get away as soon as possible before Qeef comes looking for her. The minute she sees her mom driving through the gate, she refuses to wait another second to run towards her car. The car hardly stops when Eli is already seated in the passenger seat, prompting a surprise reaction from her mom.
"Gosh Eli, what's going on? Are you being chased? Or have you committed a crime? This is not a getaway vehicle, you know?" jests Eli's mom looking for an explanation.
"Huh? No.. no.. nothing. What's for dinner, mom? I'm so hungry I can eat a horse" replies Eli, redirecting. Being Eli's mom for over 21 years, she knows very well what Eli is trying to do. But she also knows too well not to push her for the answer just yet. She needs to let Eli sort out whatever it is that's bothering her before she can actually get the real answer from her.
"So you've been sleeping at every break and missing meals the whole day again? It's a good thing I've made you your favourite 'Sambal Udang Petai' for dinner."
"Yeay, thank you, Mom. You're the best!" says Eli giving her mom her usual cheeky grin whenever she feels like her mom understands her.

Eli lies awake on her bed with her mind drifting off to the drama set. Her phone rings and Qeef's name appears on the screen. Eli turns off her phone immediately. She has been grumpy and moody the whole day at the set. How can she not when she truly feels like a fool for thinking that Qeef was actually interested in her. Her heart is still aching from what she learned yesterday.
Qeef is with Jess! She needs to carve that permanently in her mind.
"I'm not gonna be the person who comes between Qeef and Jess. It will hurt me real bad if someone were to betray me like that." Eli vows. And she's not gonna allow Qeef to change her mind again like he did yesterday when he pinned her to the wall.
"He's nothing more to me than just a professional work buddy," whispers Eli, just as slumber slowly takes over and Qeef pinning her up against the wall appears on the dream screen.
—
Morning comes and Eli finds that she's no longer excited about going to the set as she usually did before. Her resolve to stay away from Qeef has somewhat diminished her enthusiasm. Like it or not, she needs to extinguish completely whatever feeling she has for Qeef, even if it kills her.
As soon as she reaches the set, Eli heads straight towards the dressing room. Halfway there, Qeef appearing out of nowhere, greets her from behind.
"Hey gorgeous, good morning. How are you?"
"Hey, good morning! I'm sorry I'm in a rush. I need to go and get ready now." Eli, hardly glancing, comes up with an excuse and rushes off before Qeef could say or do anything else to make her change her mind.

Today, during one of their breaks, while waiting for the production crew to get ready, Bakri suddenly decides to host an instagram live. He wants to promote the upcoming drama and introduces the casts. He calls Qeef to come and sit next to him during the live.
