Eli is feeling anxious in her room. She keeps checking her phone to see if there is any call or message from Qeef, but there is none, much to her disappointment. The awareness that today is the day of Jess's sister's wedding, and Qeef is attending it just to break it up with Jess, is making her really unsettled. Eli feels guilty and sorry for Jess, but she can't help feeling hopeful that Qeef will eventually be with her without anymore hurdle.
Just as she's about to hit the shower, her phone rings. It's Qeef! Not waiting another second, Eli rushes to her bed and grabs her phone.
"Hello, Qeef?" says Eli, breathless from her rush to get to the phone.
"Hey sayang...err, what happened? Were you working out?"
"Noo...haha. Just racing to get the phone before it stops ringing."
"So impatient, my sayang. Okay now... breath in... and breath out..."
Eli laughs. The sound of her laughter prompted a smile from Qeef.
"So..how did it go with, err... you know..." asks Eli, trying to sound relaxed, though that's the thing that's at the top of her mind the whole day.
"Sayang, I did it. I told her it's over for good," says Qeef, smiling ear to ear for his achievement and picturing Eli's reaction to the news. Unfortunately, a few seconds pass in silence.
"Eli? Sayang, are you listening?" asks Qeef getting concerned. He's afraid that Eli might have changed her mind and not like the news after all.
"Umm, yes... yes I am. I'm sorry... I'm just... is this for real?" Eli stutters and her heart beats wildly in disbelief. She wants to scream and jump for joy, but she manages to control herself.
"Of course! It's done and over. I'm so relieved!" answers Qeef.
"Thank God," says Eli, inaudibly. She too, is relieved hearing the good news.
"So...how about we go out tonight?" asks Qeef. He wants to see her in person so badly now.
"Where to?"
"I was thinking, maybe a movie date?" suggests Qeef, hopeful.
"Can we watch The Promise? Please? I've been wanting to see it since last week. Please, please, pleaseeee?" begs Eli, knowing that The Promise is not Qeef's cup of tea.
"Alright, anything for you, princess. I'll pick you up around 9pm, okay?"
"Okay. I'll see you later,"
"See you, my Sayang."

The movie is great, to Qeef's surprise, even if it's not his usual pick. The fact that he's watching it with Eli makes it even more amazing.
It's almost 12 a.m. when they reach Qeef's car. Qeef feels hungry. The last meal he had was just a tiny portion of food at Jess's sister's wedding earlier. He lost his appetite having Jess next to him groping and grabbing.
"Sayang, let's have supper? I'm hungry" proposes Qeef, patting his tummy.
Eli, who is famished herself, instantly agrees. "Let's go! I could do with a plate of Maggi Goreng and a glass of iced lemon tea."
Qeef smiles at her enthusiasm. Truth be told, he's got something on his mind other than supper. But it has to wait.
At supper Eli excitedly tells Qeef about the call she got from Bakri, earlier during the day. Qeef is so happy to know that their drama is trending. From the moment he first found out that Eli would be his heroin, he has always been confident that My Cheeky Wife would be a hit.
