"Um hi guys," I say awkwardly. It's dead quiet no one says anything everyone is in shock they all look at me like they've seen a ghost. Lorenzo looks straight at me, not saying a word but looking at me. My nerves start to rise my breathing gets slower my heart pumps faster. He walks towards me stopping just inches away from my face. He examines me his face changes. He turns around " Mr. Heart thank you I will soon give you a call to discuss business as a return of a thank you for bringing her back" Mr. Heart nods at Lorenzo and with that all three of them are out the door.
" Everyone else out I need to speak to Davina" Everyone leaves making it just me in him. He softly grabs my face trying to get a better look at it. " Did he do this to you Davina" he speaks barely above a whisper, the softest I've heard him speak this whole time I've been with them. I say nothing unable to speak, not knowing what to even say. " Did he hurt you anywhere else" his eyes they're different they seem so soft like he was showing compassion. " Davina," he says more sternly. " I don't know I don't remember," I say barely even hearing myself. I said the truth the whole first day I was out the second day was a haze I don't remember much third day was today and well we don't have to go over it. He looks at me one more time before calling Alfred to drive me to our second location where we are going to be staying at for a while for safety.
As soon as we get to the house Alfred shows me the room ill be staying in. I take it all in again. then I decide to go in the shower. I see myself in the mirror. my face has a bruise on my chin, my neck has a bruise, on my arms, my legs. My eyes start to swell, I couldn't bring myself to shower I just wash my face and put fresh clothes on, and go to sleep.

time skip
I wake up breathing hard, tears running down my face. Out of nowhere, I hear loud screaming " WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN YOU CANT FUCKING FIND HIM? LOOK HARDER." I get up and start walking toward Lorenzo's office because it's clearly coming from there " AND FUCKING FIND ME ALEX OROZCO NOW. IF I DON'T HAVE ONE OF THEM IN MY OFFICE BY TOMORROW YOU ARE ALL FUCKING DEAD, DO YOU UNDERSTAND." I stop dead in my tracks I haven't heard that name in so long, every time I hear It my heart stops.
I knock on the door not knowing what I'm getting myself into "Come in" Enzo says angrily. I slowly open the door, he's sitting on the balcony, we make eye contact his face drops "Hi" he says I softly smile "Hi sweet tea" I say softly he smiles "Hey you um, you doing ok?" I nod he motions me to sit next to him "You're not going to find Alex Enzo." He looks at me confused "He um he died last year we were on a mission or whatever the fuck you call it to save my mother." He looks at me nodding slowly
"I don't know why he agreed she was a shitty mother who left me alone with a horrible person but Alex said I needed closure" I start laughing "It was a trap My mother set us up. They killed him right in front of me and I just watched. I watched them kill my fucking best friend and I did absolutely nothing. It shouldn't have been him. It was supposed to be me. But he jumped in front of me." I say on the verge of tears. Lorenzo suddenly hugs me at first I'm taken back but I hug back. " I promise Davina despite how I treated you I promise to keep you safe ok and I promise I'm going to fucking kill everyone involved in this," I say nothing I just take it in He lets go after a minute or so " I have something to show you met me downstairs." I look at him confused I go back to the room and change.
Third person P.O.V
Lorenzo walks downstairs and meets with the girl he softly smiles at her. Though he will always deny it he's starting to develop a soft spot for the girl, and he isn't sure how to feel. They make their way to the car not saying a word. It was silent but not the bad silent. The radio playing " black beauty", and the windows were down letting the air breeze. Though Davina has relived all her traumas once again, she felt at peace, she felt safe. She wasn't sure why, she hasn't felt safe in forever but at this moment being in the car with her soon-to-be husband she felt safe and comfortable.
Lorenzo kept looking at Davina seeing her wavy black hair blow everywhere due to the air, seeing her softly whisper the lyrics of the song. Seeing her fidget with her pants, not because she was scared or nervous, but because she didn't know what to do. When she's nervous he realizes she fidgets with her fingers or bites the inside of her cheeks. Out of nowhere, the young seventeen-year-old girl unbuckles her seat belt. This action makes Lorenzo furry his eyebrows unaware of what she was going to do next. She rolls the window down slowly stands up from the seat and places the upper half of her body out the window. Lorenzo looks at the girl amazed not wanting her to fall he places his right hand on her trying to get the best grip to make sure she doesn't get hurt. well, at least that's what he's telling himself.
Davina was taken aback by the sudden action, her stomach filling up with butterflies. She felt free. The car slows down. " you ready?" Lorenzo asked . Davina got back into the car looking around and noticing she was at the beach. " I just wanted to get you away from all that mess and I thought this would be great. My mom used to bring us here all the time." This was the first time Lorenzo has been so open about his life and It was causing Davina to develop a small crush on him.
