Linkin walked through the front door of the Salvatore boarding house, waving his hand behind him and the door began to close. But the sound of a firm hand catching it and throwing it open made him groan.
"What you did was reckless! You could have killed him!" Stefan yelled as he trailed after the teen.
"Oh please." Linkin dismissed with a wave of the hand. "You slipped him some blood and he was fine."
Stefan used his speed to move in blur, blocking his path. "You need to stop."
Linkin just looked boardly up at the serious expression he was behind given. "He had it coming." He went to walk around him but with a blur he was in his way again. "I'm gonna give you three seconds to move your bunny munching ass before I move it for you."
Stefan eyes narrowed. "What's happened? Did someone compele you? Was it Damon?"
"No one compelled me Stefan. This is the new me. Now get out of my way." He warned. His tone dangerously low.
Stefan wasn't budging. His back straightened and his glare intensifed. "No." His tone matching Linkins, challanging his threat.
"What did I miss?" Damon asked. A brow raised at his brother and house guest who stood meer inches apart. Each of the other glaring at the opposite with varying degrees of anger and irritation.
"Your brother." Linkin scoffed. "Doesn't know how to mind his own business." He spoke, eyes never leaving the wall of vampire in his way.
"I'm not the one who nearly killed someone today." Stefan sneered back.
Damon's head tilted to the side, his interest peaked.
"Karma's a bitch." Linkin huffed. The corner of his lips twitching up.
Stefans eyes widened. "Your not even guilty about it!"
"It was only Drake." Linkin laughed bitterly. "Wouldnt have been a major loss. The football team could find a replacement defender." He shrugged, not bothering to fight the sinical smile that spread along his face.
Stefan was at a complete loss.
"Brother." Damon said now at his side, a hand on his shoulder. "Let it go."
The glare the younger Salvatore sent to his brother looked as if he was trying to burn a hole in head.
"You're kidding. He isn't himself!"
"Let it go." Damon repeated. A look in his eye that only confused his brother more.
Linkin rolled his own. "Well I'm exhausted so I'm gonna go to bed." He sighed, ignoring the looks of the Salvatore brothers as he trailed up the stairs.
"So what happened?" Damon asked as soon as the Lockwood boy was out of earshot.
"We were at Tylers party by some swim hole on the Lockwood estate." Stefan began. "This kid Drake went to swing after Link. He must've said something to set him off when they talked before they both went in the water-"
"Spare me the boring details brother." Damon droned with a disinterested sigh.
Stefan just glared at him. "When Drake went to swing off the rope his foot got caught in the loop and he crashed into the water."
Damon's brows furrowed. "And what dose this have to do with our new housemate?"
"Because." Stefan growled. "When he didn't resurface, I went into the water and he was behind dragged around under the surface. And I mean like he was behind pulled by the water itself. He was screaming. By the time I grabbed him whatever was holding him let go and he blacked out. After I pulled us out and tried giving him CPR I smelt blood and saw Linkin wipe a trail of blood from his nose."
