Chapter 28: Adding a pet character to this harem

Also, this one is a bit less lighthearted than normal.]

"... I have already apologized, why is everyone still so mad at me?"

Though my complaints were directed at my teammates, I wasn't looking at them. That's because my party dragged their feet behind me and didn't feel like replying

Well it's not like I don't already know the answer-

We had to stay awake, taking turns, to make sure no one was attacked. That said, as a rogue, I am the only one with proper night vision and skills suited for the job.

Basically, I didn't sleep.

I should be feeling awful, but thanks to drain touch my vitality was completely restored.

And the source of that energy was the three people walking behind me.

"I feel violated... My energy was completely sapped..."

"Y/N, be honest, have you been holding back on drain touch up until now? I feel like an actual lich attacked me."

Following Megumin's growls, Darkness too voiced her exhaustion.

Because both fell asleep during their turns, I may have overdone it a little bit out of spite... 

There is something very dangerous about stealing energy and mana from someone. You always want just a little bit more.

For the past few weeks, once Megumin and I got home after our daily explosion trips I gave her some mana so she could at least sit on the couch. So this is by far my most used skill.

Just like with stats, skills increase with your level depending on how much you use them.

-And so drain touch has gotten to the point where even Darkness feels weak from contact with it. With her defense, I wasn't expecting this.

"C'com c'mon! I want to win against Kazuma and YunYun! Let's go!"

-No matter how powerful it gets, a certain someone wasn't affected in the slightest

Aqua still thinks this is a race and keeps thrusting the two zombie-like girls against my back.

-We are now more or less one at the one-day mark.
