Prove it

I started with boxing to warm up before power training. Nat usually does hand-to-hand with me but this morning I wanted to be on my own, especially with the dread that the Maximoff girl would be there when I was done. Sooner than I thought as well for when I knocked the punching bag off the wall, the door opened, and a very shy-looking Wanda walked in with black leggings and an oversized t-shirt on. Her hair was pulled into a high ponytail and her under eyes were bright red and puffy from where she had been crying the night before.

"Hey," she whispered.

"We'll start with a simple fighting sequence, hand to hand," I replied brutally, wrapping my lilac powers around the punching bag to get it out of the way.

She nodded slowly, "I'm not very good with hand-to-hand-"

"No better time to learn than the present," I said.

She nodded again and stood in a very weak starting position. I smirked at her and threw a direct jab to her stomach, making her double over in pain.

"Fuck Y/N," she groaned.

"You need to block incoming attacks," I replied, tightening my hair and getting into my starting stance again.

"I didn't know we had starte-"

I cut her off with a sidekick to her ribs. She dropped to her knees and placed her hand on her side.

"Come on Maximoff," I said.

She stood up and planted her feet firmly on the ground, her eyes darting to my arms and my legs. I smirked and approached her slowly.

"Keep your arms up and block my hit," I told her.

She nodded and kept on guard until I threw another unblocked punch to her shoulder. She groaned and stood up again.

"Block me," I repeated, slightly louder this time.

She took a deep breath and nodded again. I went back into my starting pose and threw a punch directly at her face, knowing if she didn't block it, she would learn to. As my fist was millimetres away from her face, she moved it to the side and grabbed my wrist tightly. I smirked and pulled my arm away, going in for a sidekick. She kicked my leg out of the way and threw her first punch, easily blocked as I grabbed her hand and flipped her entire body over, making her crash onto the floor. She put her hand to her rib and coughed deeply. I dropped my touch and stepped back.

"Get up," I ordered.

"Give me a minute," she groaned, taking a deep breath from the floor and then sitting up and coughing again, coughing up blood.

"Ready?" I asked.

She shook her head, "what the fuck," she spat back, looking at the blood in her hand.

I shrugged my shoulders, "should've blocked me."

"You know I'm new to this," she said.

"You can't rely on your powers all the time," I replied, looking down at her as she looked at her hand.

She picked her head up and her eyes were bright red. I narrowed my eyes with a smirk and watched as she formed red power orbs in her hand.

"You might be a better fighter, but I can promise you, my abilities are stronger than yours," she told me slowly.

"Prove it," I smirked, playing with a purple whisp between my fingers, ready for what she was going to throw at me.

She tilted her head with a malevolent smile and threw a hit at me, blocked easily by a makeshift shield I had created.
