"Y/L/N, are you listening?" Stark asked.

I turned my attention back to him and nodded silently.

"You're being uncharacteristically non-hyperverbal," he observed.

The team all turned to look at me. Steve placed his hand on my knee and gave it a gentle squeeze while Nat just stared at me with worried eyes, bags underneath them and a light gloss coating them.

"I agree," she spoke.

"Sorry, did you just agree with me?" Stark asked with a smirk.

"I seriously regret it now," Nat said to him.

"Guys I'm fine," I lied, "what did you say Stark?"

"Small recon mission, I only need Romanoff. You, Steve and the Maximoff girl are due in Paris in an hour, so we'll see you later."

I nodded and quickly stood up, walking out of the room. Natasha followed me out and hugged me from behind as I tried to walk away.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"Have I done something?" she replied, pulling away and turning me around.

I shook my head and furrowed my brows, "have you been crying?" I asked, looking at her red cheeks.

She nodded slowly, "I'm so worried about you Y/N, you're pulling away fron me and I don't know how to help you."

"Tasha, I- I'm okay, really," I lied again.

"I can see through your charade, I know you better than that," she replied, "please tell me what's wrong, I just want to help you."

"I'm just tired," I lied again.

"Stop lying to me," she whispered.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, a few tears falling down my cheek.

"What's going on with you detka?" she asked again, cupping my cheeks and wiping my tears.

I bit my cheek and opened my eyes, taking another deep breath, "have you ever been confused about your feelings for someone?"

"Like romantic feelings?" she asked.

I nodded.

"I have," she smiled sadly, "I used to hate that I loved Maria, not because she was a woman but because I was stubborn and knowing that I had to admit it, it made me mad at everything ... at everyone."

I nodded again, "and what did you do?" I asked.

"I didn't do anything," she admitted, "Mia did ... she was the one who made the first move, and it has only grown from there. I just needed that extra push."

I nodded once more and quickly wiped away my tears.

"Who's this about?" Natasha pushed.

"Hypothetical," I answered.

She hummed like she was unconvinced, "a girl?"

I shrugged my shoulders.

"Hypothetically," she smiled knowingly.

"Then yes, hypothetically it is a girl," I replied.

"Then, hypothetically, go get your girl," Nat smirked.

I bit my cheek and pulled her in for a tight hug, "I'm sorry I made you worry Nat," I whispered.

She hugged me back and kissed the side of my head, "I always worry about you Y/N ... now go get ready for Paris," she said.
