Chapter 5 : "A Perplexing Puzzle"

You and Crowley walk out of the school and into a stone path that leads to a gate and a old wreck of a house making you freeze in shock "Uh, you want me to stay... here?" you said slowly turning to him

"Isn't it delightful? Right, scoot inside now there you go" he said as he push you towards in the house making you grimace as basically every corner of the house has cobwebs the wallpaper being basically pealing away with dust all over the house

You two walk inside further inside the house making you scream internally because how dirty and dusty it is in the house "This should keep the elements at bay for the time being" Crowley said looking around "Now, I should return to my research. Do try to find some way to busy yourself but don't let me catch you wandering the campus! Ta!" Crowley told you before dashing out of the house

You sigh walking around the living room books on the floor, the table and chairs flip over, the wall pealing off, and some paint a bit tip over

You felt your eye twitch a bit "I don't even see a clean place to sit" you said to yourself before you heard some soft tapping and realized that it was raining "Looks like it's started to rain" you mumble to yourself and suddenly a voice echoes thru out the house "GWAH! It's pouring out there!" Grim said making you stumble a bit "Bwahaha! That look on your face is priceless! Like a bat that got blasted by a water gun as if I wouldn't just sneak back onto campus the second I escaped pryin' eyes. You all got no idea what I'm capable of! I ain't givin' up on goin' here just 'cause I got kicked out one measly ol' time. And if you think otherwise, you don't know Grim!" Grim said smugly making you glare at him

"Why are you so determined to go to this school?" you ask grim wondering why he wanted to go to this weird school, grim huffed in annoyance "Isn't it obvious?" he said putting his paws on his hips "I was born to do this! I'm a magical prodigy who's got the makin's to become one of the greatest mages who ever lived! So I've been waitin' and waitin' for that black carriage to come for me" grim said with teary eyes but quickly wipe them off hoping you wouldn't notice but unfortunately or fortunately you notice making your heart soften a bit

"And yet... Hrmph! That Dark Mirror's got no eye for talent! took the initiative and came here myself you humans don't understand what a mistake you're makin'! Not lettin' me in is a great loss to the world!" grim said making you remember you and your sister trying to get back to heaven but suddenly small drops of water landed on top of grim's head "Mrrao! C'mon, scoot over! I'm getting dripped on here! Bwah! Another hole in the roof! These flamin' ears are like my trademark, y'know? I can't let 'em get doused!" he whined out and getting close to you and hugging your arm

"Guess I'll go look for some buckets" you sighed out and gently pushing grim out of your arm making him huff in annoyance "I dunno why you don't just magic those holes away you could have it fixed in half a jiff" he pauses before smirking smugly "Ahhh, right. You can't use magic at all. Pffft, man you're useless" he sneered out you making you furious "Then why don't you do it?!" you snap back at him making him flinch a bit "Heh? You want ME to help YOU? Ha! You got the wrong idea. I'm just a stranger takin' shelter from the rain. You ain't the boss of me , if ya had some cans of tuna to trade, well, that'd be another story. But I don't work for free" he said rolling his eye

you groaned 'god fucking damn it he's like panty' you thought as you walk away from grim trying to find buckets as a few drops of water lands on your head "Yikes, the leaks are really getting bad" you mumble to yourself as you walk into the hallway of ramshackle "This place really freaks me out" you said to your self as you felt a cold present making you grimace "Yee hee hee... Bwa ha ha ha ha ha" a voice ran out making you turn around "We haven't had visitors in ages! Oh, I'm just itchin' for new friends! Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha!" a chubby ghost said making you groaned in annoyance 'even here? ghost really this couldn't be even more worse' you thought and right on que grim suddenly walk in the hall way "Hey, keep it down over-" he pauses as he saw the ghost "AAAAAH! GHOSTS! GHOOOOOOSTS!" he screamed out as another ghost appeared but this time it was less chubby than the another

"All the people who used ta live here got scared of us and ran away" the second ghost said staring at you in surprise "We just want a new ghost to play with! What do you say, buddy?" the first ghost said as he floats closer to grim making him screech "Eeeeep!" as he floats towards you and getting behind your back "I'm a master sorcerer! I ain't afraid of any dumb ghosts! Myahaaa!" grim said and closing his eyes as he lets out blue fire at the ghost but they keep re-appearing

"Nuh-uh. Not even close" another ghost said but the ghost was skinny "Over here! Over here! Ah ha ha ha!" the first ghost taunted grim as he lets out more fire at the ghost "Argh! They keep disappearing and reappearing!" grim said in annoyance making you huff "You're gonna set the whole dorm ablaze!" you scolded grim "Shaddup! I don't need any lip from you, human!" he snaps at you making you roll your eyes "Beat them, and I've got a can of tuna with your name on it!" you said to grim making him perk up "Myah...?! Hmph... I'm Grim, Master Sorcerer! How come I can't even hit one of these little-" he was cut of by the ghost laughter "Did I say one can of tuna? I meant two" you said hoping that grim at least open his eyes

"Myaaaah... You, human! You tell me which way the ghosts are!" he said or ordered you "To your left!" you said as he hits the skinny ghost "Aaaaah! It buuuurns!" the ghost said

"Ha, got one! Keep it up, just like that... And let's clear out the whole lot of 'em!"
