Allysa's POV:

I am broken right now, and I understand why Alex wouldn't want to be around me much. The biggest fact about people like us? The people who try to help us pick up the pieces - we end up scarring them too, cutting them with the edge and leave them bleeding. Still, I wait for him in the night and the morning. Maybe he will come back again soon. Or maybe not.

This has been my first thought every morning I wake up since a week. I haven't seen Alex much since the day he helped me through my panic attack. I miss him. I know he is kind of a moron, but still, he should be my moron. What?! Oh Allysa, snap out of it. You have been reading Wattpad too much.

Suddenly, I heard a knock on my door. I wheeled my chair to the door and opened it up to see a little kid standing outside it. She must be about 7 years old or something. I bent down to her level and greeted her cheerfully. "Hello baby, who are you?" I thought she must be some relative of Alex. But she didn't reply, she just kept staring at me with a grim expression, looking at me up and down and judging me. I felt really weird and self-conscious. Yes, even from a 7-year-old. I spoke again to grab her attention. "Hey, is everything okay? I'm Allysa, a friend of Alex."

She opened her mouth to say something but closed it again. She went past me and sat on my bed inside the room and gave me a hard expression. I went ahead to close the door and was about to turn when she said, "You know you deserved it." What is she talking about? "What did I deserve?" She gave me a blank expression making me feel stupid. "The broken ribs, legs, injuries and everything. You really deserved it." My whole mind went blank. She grinned, a sick kind of grin. Then I realized... She is Eva. My Eva. Tears ran through my face. I quickly wheeled towards her to go and hug her tightly. Though, she pushed me away, resulting in me falling down from the chair on the ground with a thud. "I'm so sorry, Eva. Please forgive me." I said to her between sobs. She looked really angry now. She was about to say something.

But the door of my room flew open, and I quickly wiped away my tears. "What happened? We heard a sound coming from your room, Isa." Marcus and Alex were standing there. They gasped as they saw me on the floor and came running towards to help me get up. I looked around frantically. She was gone. "Where are you? Don't go." I muttered as I looked around. Alex looked at me worriedly. "What are you looking for? I can bring it to you." Not what, who. But how do I explain that to him? She only likes to meet me. She is a very shy person. "Nothing, I just got hit by the bed and fell down. Sorry." Marcus slapped his forehead. "Uh-oh, you can be really stupid sometimes." I gave him a sheepish grin. Although Alex looked suspicious. I turned my head towards Marcus to avoid his gaze.

"Alright then, get up. We gotta go to the doctor's appointment today. He e-mailed me and since you fell down as well, we gotta get a quick check up now." I looked at him with dread in my eyes. Not now. My conversation with Eva was still unfinished. I don't know if she'll ever come again. This was the first time she visited me for real instead of just in my dreams.

He was waiting for me to say something. I can't say no otherwise he'll get even more suspicious. So, I nodded my head. He took me down the elevator and got me in the car. As he bent over me to fix my seatbelt, my breath stuck in my throat. He was so close to me, our faces almost touching. I wanted to kiss him so bad. He was leaning forward as well.

"Well? Is everything alright? The seatbelt stuck?" Marcus's voice boomed from behind. Alex pulled away quickly and cleared his throat. "Yeah, I guess I have to get it changed." Marcus nodded his head. "Well good luck with the appointment, lemme know the results too." Alex nodded and we started to drive away. I sighed. Fuck Marcus, great timing. Alex didn't say anything the whole drive. The silence was really awkward. So, I decided to speak up. "How are you? Didn't see you around much since long." He looked uncomfortable. "Uh, I have just been busy since some time... with office and work you know." I nodded, although I knew he was lying but I decided to let it go. He was already doing me so much favour, I didn't want him to feel bothered by me. So, I turned my head towards the window and leaned against it until we reached the hospital.
