It all happened on a cold afternoon at Avalon's house. Sirius and Regulus's parents were visiting some relatives and Avalon's both passed away sadly exactly a year ago, one due to cancer, and the other due to Dragon Pox.
The almost-sixteen-year old and the two fourteen-year olds were sitting on the dark blue carpet in Avalon's living room, playing Truth or Dare.
"Regulus, truth or dare?" Sirius asked.
"Dare, Siri!" Regulus said quickly.
"I dare you to--" Sirius looked around, thinking thoughtfully, "--y'know, I was always wondering, how do purebloods like Mother and Father know who is not a pureblood or not. So, because dear little Ava here is not a pureblood, I dare you two to fake-date and pretend that Ava is a pureblood witch!" Sirius said, his eyes lit up, mischievously. He knew the tension between the two, and how Regulus looks at her. It was a win-win situation, he would get his information and Regulus would get the girl, right?
"Dare accepted," Regulus said, "when do we start?"
"Tonight, when Mother and Father gets home, you know how they both never notice anyone living on this street. It's easy, just say that Ava here is a pureblood that just moved in!" Sirius said excitedly.
"You're not wrong about that, Siri, but what if they find out?" Avalon asked.
"They won't, because you two are going to act it," Sirius smirked, mentally patting himself on the back at how genius this idea was.
"What's the consequences?" Regulus asked.
"If you two manage to convince Mother and Father, AND all of the Sacred Twenty-Eight that you two are dating and Avalon is a pureblood, I will personally become your slave for a month. IF you two are caught though, I will personally pie you in the face!" Sirius grinned, knowing that this bet, was officially on, as Regulus and Avalon both agreed to the terms.

When Walburga and Orion Black got to 12 Grimmauld Place that evening, they found Regulus sitting on the couch, with Avalon, who to them, is an unknown blonde girl.
"What is the meaning of this!?" Orion's voice boomed through the house as Regulus and Avalon both stood up.
"Forgive me, Father, Mother, I have been wanting to tell you this for a while," Regulus said smoothly as he put his arm on Avalon's waist.
"I'm Avalon Raynott and I am a pureblood orphan who moved here from America a month ago. I would have loved for you to meet my parents, but--t-they both passed away from Dragon Pox last year" Avalon informed the two parents, breaking a bit when mentioning her parents.
"Oh I am so sorry, dear! I had no idea how much you are going through!" Walburga said sympathetically.
Regulus continued, "Our love for each other was unquestionable and we began to date. I am so sorry for telling you this late, Father, Mother, as we feared that you will be against our relationship," He said, as he pulled Avalon closer, as if to comfort her.
"As long as she is a pureblood, we approve, oh what a beauty she is! You got fine taste, Regulus," Walburga said as she went up to Avalon and cupped the blonde girl's face with her cold, smooth hands.
The two said simultaneously.
"Thank you, Mother," Regulus said.
"Thank you, Mrs. Black," Avalon said.
"Dear, you don't have to call us Mr. and Mrs. Black, just Aunt Walburga and Uncle Orion is fine, because there are many Blacks, just like our cousins," Walburga said sincerely.
"Okay, Aunt Walburga," Avalon said.
"Welcome to the family, Avalon, unless Regulus finds no interest in you anymore," Orion said in a stern voice, giving off the smallest smile.
"Thank you, Uncle Orion, and I am sure that our love is not one-sided," Avalon fake-smiled, showing off her pearly white teeth as she looked lovingly at Regulus.
Orion gave her a nod before he called out to his older son, "SIRIUS, GET DOWN HERE!" He boomed.
Sirius stomped down the stairs, seeing Regulus and Avalon cuddled up together on the couch and both of his parents looking at them with accepting smiles, he knew that his plan was starting to work.
"Yes, Father, Mother?" He asked politely.
"This is Avalon Raynott, Regulus's new girlfriend, I hope you will not do any childish acts to embarrass our family even further," Walburga said sternly as she glared at Sirius, her dark eyes challenging the consequences of disobeying.
"Yes, Mother," Sirius nodded, but winked at Regulus.

During dinner, Walburga asked the young girl, "Now Avalon, dear, if you don't mind me asking, what are your beliefs on blood? You are a pureblood, but we want to make sure you are not a blood-traitor,"
"It's okay, Aunt Walburga. I believe that muggles shouldn't be allowed to even be a wizard or a witch! Without magic, they are already fighting each other like crazy untamed beasts! Clearly, World War Two showed that. With magic--" Avalon shuddered, "-they would be even more powerful and might even end of whole world,"
"Nicely worded, and just our thoughts," Orion nodded, approving of the girl his youngest son is dating.
"Thank you, Uncle Orion, it is difficult, especially in America, to find purebloods who still believe in blood purity. I am glad that there are more that believe this than America," Avalon said politely after chewing her food.
"You are raised just as polite and elegant lady I would want a daughter to be," Walburga genuinely smiled.
"Thank you, Aunt Walburga, I have only learned to be the best from my wonderful parents," Avalon said.
As Avalon continued to chat with Walburga and Orion, Sirius leaned over and whispered to Regulus, "Ava sure is making our parents pleased,"
Regulus could only nod, his eyes still staring in disbelief at how good Avalon was at acting.
