Many people reacted different ways to Avalon and James's engagement.

Sirius, Remus, and Peter were thrilled and excited, jumping up and down, as you can all tell from the chapter before.

Elias was very happy that Avalon found the person she loves and knows that James will take good care of her.

Barty felt like Avalon deserved better but nevertheless, quote on quote, "At least he's still a pureblood."

Severus, who had bad history with James, just sighed before admitting, "Although I hate him before and still hate him now, he's good for you, Ava."

Tom did not speak, knowing that James had already asked him for Avalon's hand in marriage.

Bellatrix winced in disgust at James but she said, "A blood traitor? C'mon, Ava, you could do better than that!" She then glared fiercely at James before using her pointer finger to prick at him as he backed up, "One fucking time she's hurt from your actions, you'll pay, mark my words."

James nodded, trembling.

Narcissa and Andromeda were squealing with delight as they congratulated the girl before squeezing her in a hug.

"Oh my god, Ava! You're growing up so quickly!" Andromeda said when Avalon visited her and her husband, Ted Tonks, to tell her the news.

When she told Narcissa, she was the same as Andromeda, "Congratulations, Ava! Oh my god, you did grow up so quick!"

And well, Regulus, he tried to stay happy and smile in front of Avalon, but on the inside, he was very disappointed and sad with himself.

Let's just say, Avalon expected those reactions, but she could only focus now on the future with her fiance and loved ones.

We all know that it was a miracle that James somehow survived when he asked Tom for his daughter's hand in marriage.

It started off like this, on a dark gloomy night of May thirty-first.

"Padfoot? Moony? Wormy?" James asked his best mates while they were using their wands to help decorate and prepare the house in Godric's Hollow for Avalon's surprise.

"Yes, Prongs?" Sirius asked as he put his hand down, causing the wall he was previously painting on half-finished.

"I-I--tomorrow, I'm going to meet up with Avalon's father," James said.

"Why the fuck would you want to be with that murderer?" Remus burst out.

"Murderer or not, I still need his approval to marry Avalon," James replied as he pulled out a tiny box from his pocket.

Peter gasped, "You're proposing to Ava?"

"Yes, Wormy, why else will he carry a ring?" Sirius said lazily as Peter blushed in embarassment.
