"Oh my god, Cassie! Will you stop being such a trouble maker?" Avalon said in exasperation as she chased a giggling 4-year old Cassiopeia, who was covered in maple syrup.
"Mamma no catchy (catch me)!" Cassiopeia giggled again as she raced through the living room.
"You little rascal," Regulus sighed but smiled as he picked up the very sticky child and hurried her off to the bath.
Avalon smiled appreciatively at her now husband as she found Lyra on the kitchen table, calmly eating pancakes as if nothing has happened and Harry who was doodling on
"Oh Lyra, you're always the good and mannered one here, just like your father," Avalon smiled at her daughter before smelling the pancakes burning on the stove.
"Not again," Avalon sighed as she turned off the stove when she heard a knock on the door, "who could it be?" she asked as she opened it before she stood stunned.
"LEO!" Avalon yelled as she hugged the now seventeen year old Leo Davis, who looked much older.
"How did you find me?" She asked as she ushered him in.
"Well, my brother was actually a classmate of your previous husband and he heard that he was going to buy this house. So, I just took my chance to come here and hoped that you still lived here," Leo explained.
"So how's life going?" Avalon asked as she flicked her wand, causing two cups of freshly made tea to float gracefully on the table.
"It's going great, I found my first love, until someone ruined it," Leo darkened before pointing his wand directly at Avalon's chest, "your father."
"I--" Avalon stuttered.
"Now you will have to pay the price," Leo chuckled darkly as he started to mutter a spell that caused Avalon to have many cuts.
"Mommy? What's happening here?" Harry asked as he and Cassiopeia rushed over to their bleeding mother.
"It's fine, Harry," Avalon said nonchalantly before turning back to Leo, who's face softened.
"I'm so fucking sorry, Ava, it's not your fault and I--" Leo blabbered before Regulus entered the room furiously.
"What the fucking hell are you doing to my wife, huh? Get the hell out of here! Stupefy!" Regulus snarled as Leo got stunned.
Regulus then kicked Leo out of the door, muttered the counter curse, and slammed the door.
"Love, are you fine?" Regulus asked worriedly as Avalon nodded, smiling, as she healed her wounds easily.
"I'm fine, darling," Avalon said before the three kids rushed to the mother and embraced her, choking sobs.
"Mummy, don't get hurt again!" Lyra wailed as she hugged Avalon as tight as she could.
"That man will pay!" Cassiopeia added fiercely before Harry said, "Mommy, I love you."
"I love you all so much, dears, and I'm perfectly fine. Now, who wants some more blueberry pancakes?" Avalon said enthusiastically as she walked to the kitchen.
"Me me me!" The three kids yelled as they rushed after their mother.
"Kids, don't run! You might hurt yourselves!" Regulus called before following the rest of his family into the kitchen.
