As the years went by, Avalon and James's relationship grew stronger and stronger. Even when James graduated from Hogwarts and started his Auror training and Avalon was the Head Girl, the two found time for each other during Hogsmeade weekends and trusted each other to not cheat.
Avalon, being the Head Girl, was loved by everyone. She tutored many students who were struggling in copious amount of subjects, helped calm down the Gryffindor-Slytherin rivalry a bit, and overall changed Hogwarts permanently, socially and academically.
"Leo, I'll come and visit you whenever I can, okay?" Avalon said, tearfully as she hugged the still-little-in-her-mind thirteen year old boy on the last day of Hogwarts.
"Ava, I'll miss you so much!" Leo said as he continued to hug Avalon.
"I will too, Leo, now come on, it's time for me to graduate," Avalon smiled, still with tears in her eyes.

"Now, it has been a pleasure teaching the Class of 1979, you were all wonderful students and I wish you all luck in your future. Now, it is time for the Head Boy and Head Girl speeches," Headmaster Dumbledore said as the Head Boy, David Morris, came on stage.
"Hello, teachers and fellow students. As you all my know, I'm David Morris, the Head Boy this year. It has been an honor to, first, have the privilege to attend Hogwarts, and to lead Hogwarts into an even better place for future students. Here, I have felt all my emotions, discovered my best friends, ate all the food I want," He paused as the crowd laughed, "and cried while doing homework many times. Hogwarts has been a great and unforgettable experience for me and you, and I will never forget these 7 years I spend here. Thank you!"
The crowd clapped and cheered politely as David stepped down and let Avalon go on stage.
"Hi, teachers and students! How are y'all?" Avalon asked as mutters of "good"s and "bad"s were in the air, "anyways...I'm your Head Girl, Avalon Raynott, and like David said, Hogwarts was one of the best experience I've had in my life. Sure, I've only joined Hogwarts for two years, having spent the other 5 at Ilvermorny, but I quickly discovered the friends I felt like family, and the boyfriend I saw my future with," she said, smiling at the thought of James, "I wish that you all find the people you trust, continue to excel in your academics like this year when I tutored y'all, and most importantly, have fun. Never forget all the lessons you've learned and find out new paths you want to try. Thank you!"
The crowd cheered but gasped when a group burst through the Great Hall doors.
It was James Potter and his friends. He ran quickly up to the stage and took the mic before saying, "First of all, Avalon and others, it's your graduation day so congrats! And then," he breathed slowly before saying, "Avalon, you've been the love of my life for three years. Not a single moment with you was dull and never did I feel that I regret loving you. I love you so so much and I'll keep it short, will you marry me?" James asked as he kneeled down on one knee, pulled out a small blue box and opened it, to reveal a silver ring with a big green emerald on it (ring above).
"Yes, James, of course I'll marry you!" Avalon cried as James carefully slid the ring on her finger and kissed her in front of the crowd, who cheered louder than ever.
"I love you, Jamie," Avalon said when they pulled apart.
"I love you too, Mrs. Potter," James smiled as Avalon playfully smacked his arm again and saying, "not yet!"

"Congrats mate!" Sirius said as he patted James's back.
"Thanks Padfoot," James said as he interlocked his hands with Avalon.
"Poor you," Remus mocked at Avalon.
"Yes, poor me, when James decides to put a baby in me and we get a James 2.0," Avalon sighed.
"Not a bad idea, love, wanna start now?" James smirked.
"Nope, at least not now," Avalon replied as she smiled lovingly at the boy.
"Hey--um, Ava, can I talk to you for a second?" Regulus asked quietly from behind them.
James protectively stood in front of his fiancee but she said, "Okay, Reg, it's fine, Jamie, I'll be fine."
She then followed Regulus out of the hall.
"So, what's up?" Avalon asked.
"I just want to say congratulations on your marriage, and I hope you are happy with Potter," Regulus sighed.
"Thanks, Reg, appreciate it," Avalon smiled brightly as she hugged Regulus.
"You know I still love you so much right?" Regulus said when they pulled apart.
"I know, Reggie, but I'm sorry, I don't think I can love you back when I love James so much," Avalon said.
"I know, I'll still support you, no matter what," Regulus said.
"Thanks, Reg, when you find a girl, I'll do the same to you too," Avalon smiled.

"I don't know, Eli, I still love Avalon so much but she's engaged to Potter now," Regulus sighed.
"Reg, maybe you should let go," Elias said comfortingly.
"I don't know, it's just I can't let her go, she was my first love and my soulmate," Regulus said as he stared up to the sky.
"I know, but it might be time for you to accept that Avalon is not yours," Elias said.
Regulus could only nod slightly before the two exited the room.

"So, I've bought a house at Godric's Hollow, we'll move in there right now, have kids, and live our lives happily," James smiled as Avalon pecked his cheek.
"That sounds amazing, love, let's go move in right now," Avalon said as they went on the boats, while gazing back at Hogwarts.
"I can't believe that we're 17, almost 18 now, and engaged," James said as he put an arm around Avalon.
"I know, but the future' still waiting for us," Avalon said.
