L/N Y/N,
THIRD PERSON,
PARK HOUSEHOLD,
6:01PM

it was officially time for dinner. they had the table set so that all the food was on it and they could just go around to pick up what they wanted.

y/n handed the last plates to her friends before going with them to get food.

once she got her food, she followed yejin back to the couch where the other two girls sat, already eating.

"okay rude. you didn't even wait for us." y/n jokingly scoffed.

"sorry, we were hungry." yunjin apologized, patting the spots next to her.

y/n quickly sat down, turning to yunjin and tina with yejin sitting beside her.

the groups mingled, y/n making sure to tell her friends all the details with the hanbin situation. she also made sure that she got all the details for her friend's drama, the four quietly spilling the tea to each other, not wanting to miss a single thing. y/n also made sure to keep an eye out for her younger sister, keeping a close watch for something that she could tease her on.

"oh yeah, I asked hanbin out on a date earlier." y/n said.

"YOU WHAT?!" yejin yelled, making everyone else turn to the group.

"it's nothing, sorry!" yunjin hurried, hitting yejin's arm. "did you forget that everyone is here, including him?" she asked quietly.

"sorry sorry, but what?!" she whisper yelled.

"what did he say? and where and when is this date happening?" tina spoke.

"its gonna happen sometime on the weekend probably at that new arcade that's opening up. he said yes, but called it a hangout so it isnt really a date anymore huh?" sighed y/n, rethinking about it.

"that doesn't matter, you're going out with him! that's great, n/n!" yunjin cheered.

"you're growing some balls now! after fucking years!" tina smiled.

"years? I've only liked him since last year? girl-"

"remember when you liked that other guy during senior year?" yejin reminded.

"taehyun? what about him?" a moment of silence between the four passed. "oh wait- yeah."

"exactly. you liked him for a few months and never did anything about it, even when it was obvious that he liked you back. it's amazing that you're actually doing something about hamster this time." yunjin grinned, wiggling her eyebrows.

"why is his nickname hamster? what the hell?" yejin asked, confusion spreading across her face.

"one time, n/n said that he reminded her of a hamster so that's why we call him hamster." tina answered, smirking at y/n. "she also loves hamsters so it's perfect. it's like you're meant to be." she teased.

"no we arent, tina. we're polar opposites in almost every way possible." the l/n sighed, glancing over at hanbin who was eating with his friends, laughing at something one of them said.

"they say that opposites attract." the short woman spat back, giving her friend a knowing look.

"but hes completely oblivious. how am I supposed to get things on a move with him if he keeps on seeing it as friendly actions?"

"you just keep doing it! I know that it'll take a while but as long as you're still into him, things will be good." yunjin inputted, making yejin nod.

"exactly. as long as you still have a thing for him, you can flirt or give as many signals as you want. you can even just tell him that you like him and he'd still probably think that you meant it in a platonic way. you can honestly just do the most obvious shit and not embarrass yourself because he wouldn't notice." yejin sighs. "look, things will be fine. you need to stop over worrying about this."

"you're right. I'm just overthinking this and I'm being dramatic." y/n sighed, accepting her fate.

"see, now that's it!" yunjin cheered.

☆~☆

"SO-HYE, GET OVER HERE!" screamed y/n. "YOU TOO, MINHYUN! GUNWOOK!"

the three were currently running from a screaming y/n. their guests were still there (except for minhyun's friends, they were all picked up quite early and it was far too late for them to still be at their house) and multiple of them were cackling their asses off. they pranked y/n and sprayed her with cold water from the hose when she walked outside the house and into the backyard.

"GET BACK HERE!" y/n screamed.

"YEJUN PLEASE HELP ME IM GOING TO DIE-" so-hye yelled as she ran to shield herself with yejun. the three separated, minhyun running to their parents as gunwook ran to hide behind his friends.

as y/n charged towards so-hye, yejun stepped backwards, grabbing the girl behind him and moving to the side. this made y/n run right past them and right into hanbin. he quickly caught her before he fell from the force of her running into him. he had his arms wrapped tightly around her waist as he cushioned her fall.

"oof-" he grunted. y/n flinched as she sat up in between his legs.

"I'm so sorry oh my god- are you okay?!" y/n panicked, turning around to face him.

"oh yeah, I'm perfectly fine. are you okay though? are you hurt anywhere or- god why are you freezing and soaking wet right now?" hanbin asked.

"OH MY GOD RIGHT!" y/n gasped, getting back up. "YOU LITTLE TURDS SPRAYED ME IN HOSE WATER, GET OVER HERE."

to say that it was an eventful night is only saying the least. let's just say that the house may or may not have became an accidental slip and slide.
