after a day of "work," y/n was sprawled across tina's couch. yejin was busy cooking something for them to eat, tina was in the washroom, and yunjin was sat on the floor in front of the couch.

"you won't believe what hanbin told me today." y/n whispered. yunjin looked up from her phone to look y/n, who was staring up at the ceiling.

"what did he tell you?" she asked back.

"he told me that yujin said my sister kissed him last night." the l/n breathed out, making yunjin gasp.

"THEY WHAT?!"

"he told me that apparently, she walked him home and kissed his cheek when she was leaving. what the fuck." y/n explained, her voice still low.

"does she usually do stuff like that?" yunjin asked, looking at her friend's confused expression.

"I think she only does it to people she considers close to her but I'm not sure because this is the first time I'm ever hearing her do this. anyways, damn bro, she has more balls than me. all I can do is ask him to hang out all the time." she replied, sighing.

"hey, you're getting somewhere with him. this is the most involved I've seen you and I've known you since our first year of high school, girl. and plus, you're doing amazing with him. with you guys always going out and having that project together, you're getting closer than ever to him. I'm pretty sure that he already sees you as someone really close to him and maybe, he's already catching feelings." american one reassured, holding one of y/n's hands in hers.

"I've been asking him to hang out so much now, what if hes getting tired of me?" y/n asked, worried.

"n/n, he isnt getting tired of you. if anything, he seems happier to be with her."

"but hes always the happy go lucky guy."

"I said happier. I think that he genuinely loves to be with you, you know."

y/n sighed. "fine, hes happier to be with me. what do I do about him though? honestly, I think the more I'm going out with him, I start to like him more and more."

"that's great! since hes happier to be with you, he's most definitely gonna fall sooner or later. your feelings for him building up will just make the confession so much more romantic!"

"what- okay then. are you sure? like, one hundred percent sure that that's ever going to happen?" y/n was still worried and she was most definitely overthinking this.

"yes, I'm sure! there's no reason for him to not end up liking you and I'm sure that he most definitely will at some point in your blossoming friendship." yunjin reassured.

"okay fine. I'll stop thinking about this and I'll stop worrying so much." y/n initially told herself, but yunjin nodded with her.

"okay thank you! to change the topic... uhhh... how about you tell me how hanbin told you about the yujin thing." yunjin said.

y/n was sat in class with hanbin, working on their biochemistry project. their professor was being generous and gave them a work period for half the class.

"oh, actually I have some news for you." hanbin suddenly brought up, making y/n look up from her ipad screen to him.

"yeah what's up?" she asked.

"yujin told me something happened last night." he started.

"oh? is he okay? what happened?"
