early in the morning, y/n went over to yejin's house. y/n and yejin were waiting on tina and yunjin, who were still on the way to the house.

yejin's half brother, yeonsang, was sat with the two women at the dinner table, having breakfast with them.

"you know, I'm pretty sure he has a big crush on you or yunjin." yejin whispered to y/n. the two were sitting beside each other at the table with yeonsang sitting across from them, barely eating as he was playing a game on his switch.

in response, y/n gently kicked her foot. "don't say that, oh my god. it's so weird when my friend's or sibling's friends and stuff like me. he probably likes jen, because who doesn't like her?" she whispered back. "remember when so-hye's friend liked me? yeah that shit was strange and not gonna lie, I kinda hated it."

"okay but you can pull left and right. I bet a bunch of people in our uni and stuff like you, they just don't have the guts to tell you because you have that mean girl image and reputation there." yejin says, nudging her arm.

"literally stop it, I know at least five different people who have a small shrine of you in their lockers or whatever." y/n shot back, rolling her eyes at her friend.

that night, y/n left for hanbin's place, going there to work on their project.

hanbin was "frantically" calling people when they decided that they did enough work on their project. somehow, y/n managed to convince him to call everyone to see if they would cover for her if anything happened. the first person he was calling was gunwook.

"hello? what's up?" answered gunwook.

"hi gunwook, I'm sorry to bother you but is y/n there? she was supposed to come over but said that she had something to do back at home so we canceled and I'm really worried about her because she hasn't texted me or anything after." he explained, glancing over at y/n who was holding in her laughs beside him.

"uh no? I saw her this morning, she said she was going over to yejin's place? maybe try calling her."

"oh... okay, thanks." he said before hanging up.

"you should try calling hye. shes out with her friends right now but let's see if she'll even pick up." y/n suggested, typing in her younger sister's number on his phone. they had to call back a few times before the call was accepted.

"hello? is this so-hye?" hanbin asked when the phone was answered.

"hello? who is this?"

"its hanbin and I was just wondering if y/n was with you? she was supposed to come over so we canceled but she hasn't texted or called me yet, even though she said she would and I'm getting kind of worried about her." he asked again.

"oh yeah, shes here with me and some friends right now. sorry she had to cancel, I called her to join us because she said she had nothing to do." lied the younger.

"wait really? can I talk to her?" y/n and hanbin were shocked, not going to lie. she didn't think that her sister would cover for her.

"well... we're kind of busy right now and shes doing something. sorry hanbin, I have to go now. I hope she contacts you soon." said the younger before hanging up. not long after, y/n got a bunch of texts from so-hye, asking where she was.

"I really didn't think she'd cover for me, what the hell? shes super worried though like, those texts are from her."

"wow im- that's sweet awww." hanbin pouts. "next person is.... yejin."

"hello? hanbin? what's up?"

"hey yejin, I just wanted to know if y/n is there with you? she was supposed to come over but she canceled and said she had something to do at yours? she hasn't texted me or anything and I'm getting worried about her."

"oh yeah, don't worry. shes with me right now. sorry, I called her over to help with my brother but shes with me right now." lied yejin as well. damn, why are all the girl's in y/n's life actually covering for her? this is melting her heart.

"oh, really? can I talk to her?"

"uh well, shes kind of busy with my brother right now. hes putting up a fight so.. I'll tell her to call you later when we're done."

"oh okay, thanks then yejin. bye."

"yeah, no problem. bye." And the call was ended.

"why is almost everyone covering for you? I dont think my friends would even cover for me, or even my sister." he asked her, eyes widened in shock.

"you've only called the girls I'm close with. you should try matthew or something." she shrugged. she had a feeling that yunjin and tina would also cover for her, so she had to think of someone else. who other than one of her foreigner friends that she wasn't close with?

"matthew? hello?" hanbin said into the phone when the canadian answered the call.

"what's up? why are you calling?"

"is y/n there with you? she was supposed to come over but we had to cancel because something came up, she said something about having to go over to your place? she hasn't texted me or anything and I'm getting really worried about her."

"huh? wait, for me? I dont know if shes over actually, let me ask my sister." matthew replied, muting himself on the call.

in this short time, y/n giggled a bit before matthew unmuted.

"she isnt over. sorry man, I'll try to contact her though."

"oh, alright. thanks." hanbin says, ending the call. "you're friends with two honest people and that's it." he joked to her.

"well damn, then I won't cover for you if anything happens." she joked back, rolling her eyes at him.

then, her phone went off with a notification, multiple times.

"well damn. they all care so much about me." y/n sighed, wiping a pretend tear from her eyes.

hanbin started to laugh, making a bright smile appear on y/n's face.
