y/n and yunjin were entering the school from the convenience store. the louder girl of the two had her arm linked with y/n's, as they ignored the looks they were given and the chatter that filled the halls.

"you know, he said that he wanted to talk to me today. I think I did something last night." y/n told yunjin in english.

"what happened when you went to your room anyways? so-hye and yujin also escaped the basement after you left." yunjin asked, looking at the taller girl.

"oh, speaking of so-hye, she also told me that she had something to talk about with me and gunwook. apparently we just talked in my room. I do remember that we made out at some point and went to bed- WAIT WE MADE OUT!"

"OH MY GOD YOU WHAT?!"

with their screaming, everyone who was in the hallway turned to look at them. they stared until hanbin showed up behind y/n, snaking his arms around her waist.

"morning, n/n. remember, text me after your classes so we can talk." he told her, kissing her cheek. "good morning, yunjin." he greeted after, waving at her.

"i- good morning hanbin." the american greeted.

"hows your head?" he asked them both. "I think the haejangguk (hangover soup) that your parents made was amazing." he then said to y/n.

"it's okay." yunjin simply nods. "I didn't drink that much, surprisingly. I also agree, that soup was amazing. I'll have to ask them to make me some more." she joked.

"hows yours, n/n?"

"ah, it's getting better. you don't have to feed me again if you were wondering." she replied, snapping out of the small trance she was in after he kissed her cheek.

"that's good to know. I have to get to my class right now, so I'll talk to you later. bye!" hanbin said, waving at the two as he left. not before giving y/n another kiss on the cheek though.

"since when did that happen?" yunjin asked when he was gone.

"I'm... not sure." y/n replied.

after y/n's classes ended, she texted hanbin and he told her to meet him at the big ass cherry blossum tree in the school garden.

that's where she was headed right now.

one of her other friends, micah choi another foreigner and someone she wasn't that close with, left her to go to her classes five minutes ago and she was now almost at the garden.

reaching the garden after a quick three minutes, she immediately made her way to the cherry blossum and saw him standing there, holding a bouquet of her favorite flowers.

"hanbin? what's this all about?" she asked when she stood in front of him. he handed her the flowers with a big smile.

"you might not remember, but you pretty much confessed your love for me last night. I brought you here to reconfess my own love to you.

"y/n, you're an absolutely beautiful and amazing person. you bring light and happiness to my days and I love being with you, no matter what or how I'm feeling.

"yes, I was extremely oblivious but that day that you came over to work on the project, I realized that I really fucking like you. I realized that I've been liking you for a while now, actually.

"you're a very special and important person to me, and I never want to lose you or the friendship I have with you. honestly, you're the first person that I've liked like this and I love you so, so much." he confessed to her, making her blink as she processed everything he told her.

"oh wow, hanbin." she started, breathing out. "I guess it's the right time for me to ask you this huh?" she said, taking a step closer to him.

"sung hanbin, I really fell for you. will you be my boyfriend?" she finally asked, grinning at the male in front of her.

"y/n l/n, I'd love to be your boyfriend." he replies, pulling her in for a kiss.

gunwook was going to have a field day with the news from his sisters later.

and with that, hanbin's question of "WHAT IS LOVE?" has been answered by the person of his dreams, y/n l/n, or should I say, future mrs. sung?
