"I'm home!" y/n called out into the house.

"oh! perfect!" father park called out. "darling, do you think you can go out to get some groceries with minhyun in a bit? we're going out of some things."

"oh yeah, sure! when?" y/n called back, entering the living room where her parents were.

"maybe in half an hour or so. you don't have to go immediately." junyeong nodded. "your mother and I have to go in a bit because we're going to that high school reunion."

"we'll be home pretty late okay? obviously, minhyun should be in bed by 8:30 and we want you three to behave. don't break anything and you can help yourself to anything but the alcohol." youngmi informed, going over the ground rules of the house for the nth time in y/n's years of living there.

"got it, got it." y/n nodded, watching as her parents stood up. guess they were about to leave.

"okay, we'll be off now. also, please get gunwook out of his room. he's been playing that genshin impact game and yelling at his computer since he got home." youngmi begged.

"sure, mom. stay safe and take care! I'll see you tonight." y/n smiled, waving her parents off before closing and locking the door.

"great, half an hour all to myself." she whispered quietly, going to change before she went out or did anything else.

after she changed, she went to gunwook's room and knocked on the door.

"hey, wook. I'm coming in." she announced, slowly opening the door.

"YES!" he yelled as he pulled baizhu. she walked up to him, standing behind him.

"you look like a fucking nerd right now." she said, taking off his headphones and ruffling his hair. "anyways, you wanna go to the grocery store with me and minhyun later? dad said we were running out of food and mom wants you out of your room."

"did you ask hye yet? do I have to go?" he whined.

"no and no, I'm just asking."

"can you just bring hye with you?"

"if you don't want anything, sure. just know that I'll be buying extra snacks that we want." she shrugged, turning around to walk out of the room.

"wait! can you get me kobuk chips?"

"if you're not coming with, no. I'll give you time to decide but we're leaving in 20 minutes." she said, finally walking out of the room and closing the door behind her.

she made her way to the next sibling's room, knocking on her door and saying that she will come in.

"hye?" she asked upon entering the room.

"yo." the teenager replied from her desk, shutting the drawer.

"wanna come with me and minhyun to the grocery store in a bit?"

"oh, yeah sure." so-hye replied, nodding at the older.

"great, be ready in 20 minutes." y/n smiled. "how was school? anything exciting?"

"eh, it was okay. we got a new student today, her name is sujin, and to be honest, she seems like a bitch already. you know what she did as soon as lunch started? she went up to half the boys in my class and started to like, flirt with them or whatever. when yejun, changmin, and shinae were walking up to me and hwayoung, she walked right in front of them and flirted with jun and min. after, when she was leaving, she gave shinae like, the stink eye or something." so-hye ranted. y/n had taken a seat on her bed and so-hye rolled her chair over to sit in front of her.
