L/N Y/N,
THIRD PERSON,
YUNJIN'S APARTMENT,
11:39AM

a few days after the big feast, y/n was at yunjin's place to get ready for her little hangout with hanbin. y/n, yunjin, yejin, and tina were all in yunjin's bedroom with yejin and tina being the judges for y/n's outfit.

suddenly, y/n got a call.

"OH SHIT, ITS HANBIN!" tina gasped as she glanced at the phone screen.

"answer!" yunjin rushed y/n. said woman finally answered the call, putting it on speaker.

"hello?"

"hey y/n! how are you?"

"oh, I'm good! how are you?"

"I'm doing good as well."

"that's good. why did you call? we'll be seeing each other in like, an hour?"

"that's exactly why I called. I was wondering if you wanted to get something to eat before we got to the arcade. maybe we can go get something quick, you know?"

y/n's eyes widened at his offer. "oh yeah, sure! that'd be great."

and suddenly, a loud moan was heard from his line.

"gyuvin I swear to god if you don't shut up- sorry about that y/n, some of the boys are over right now and gyuvin's being a menace."

"oh i- yeah, it's fine. my friends used to do that all the time." she chuckled. "anyways, yeah. I'd love to get something to eat before we go."

"that's great, y/n! well, I'll see you later then?"

"yeah, I'll see you."

"I'm wearing grey by the way." he snuck in before hanging up.

"THATS IT! GREY!" yunjin yelled, running back into her closet to find whatever nice outfits she could find. not long after, she came back with an outfit in hand, pushing y/n into the bathroom to change into it.

after a few minutes, out came y/n looking as fine as ever in simple clothing. she was wearing a white shirt that had the michelangelo creation hands on it, tucked into some wide legged black jeans. she had a large grey trench coat to bring it all together.

"OH MY GOODNESS, YOU LOOK PERFECT!" yejin screamed, going up to y/n.

y/n did a little twirl which made the three others squeal.

"if he doesn't fall for you after this, I swear I'll date you instead." tina nodded.

"stop it, I look normal." y/n whined. her friends were feeding her ego and she didn't know how to take that.

"wait, hold on." yunjin said, going back to her closet to pick a few more things.

she came back with a belt, a tote bag, and shoes.

"okay so," she said, helping y/n put the belt on. "I think that this will all pull it together for real." after helping with the belt, she hung the off-white tote bag around y/n's arm and handed her the grey and white air jordan's.

"now you actually look perfect, holy shit." yejin breathed out.

"use the bag to put whatever you need in it, obviously. you can return everything next time see each other if you'd like, but I wouldn't mind you keeping anything other than the coat, belt, and the shoes." american number one informed, fixing up y/n's hair a bit and giving her some lip gloss. she helped her put a bit of jewelry on as well, as y/n brought some and she let her use some of her own.

"remember, if he doesn't want you, I'd gladly take you from him." tina reminded, making y/n laugh.

"I'll keep note of that." she smiled. "thanks for all the help guys, I literally love you so much." she pouts after. she had the bestest friends in the world.

hanbin picked her up from yunjin's place and now the two were driving to this cute cafe that he told her about.

"you look amazing, by the way." hanbin complemented, his hand on the wheel. his other hand was placed on top of y/n's out of habit.

"thank you, hanbin. you look stunning." she smiled back, trying to fight off the blush that made it's way to her cheeks.

"you know, we're kind of matching with the coats." he pointed out, quickly glancing at her as she looked down to realize that they were matching.

"with the jewelry too. I really like your earrings, by the way." she also pointed out, not so secretly admiring him.

he looked so good in anything, god was her heart beating out of her chest.

"thank you, I like yours as well." he simply replied. it was simple but it had such a big impact on y/n, and he would never ever know that.

hanbin drove for a few more minutes until he parked in front of a cafe.

"we're here." he smiled to her.

they got out and entered the building, y/n looking around. it looked cute and if the food was good, she would most definitely have to come back.

after the two ordered and got their items, they sat at one of the chairs beside the back wall. the back wall had fake vines hanging down from it, making it look somewhat aesthetic.

they quickly engaged in conversation, lowkey surprising y/n. since when did she get these amazing talking skills?

at some point, y/n's sob story became a topic.

"you know, you're really nice. I don't see why people hate you so much." hanbin shrugged, taking a sip of his drink.

"to be honest, I'm not really sure either. I always just assumed that it was because I'm a troublemaker or because I'm an outcast, even in my family." y/n also shrugged.

"outcast? what do you mean?"

"well, I'm adopted. I'm completely different from them."

"so? just because you're adopted doesn't mean that you're completely different from them. you're still family and you being adopted doesn't change anything. if you don't mind me asking, how were you adopted anyways?" he asked, holding her hands which were placed on the table.

"are you sure? and I don't mind." she replied before getting along with the sob story. "my biological parents were divorced when I was orphaned. I stayed with my mom, who soon had another child with someone. when that child was born, I was 12 and the biggest troublemaker in my year. that was when she sent me off to the orphanage and I was now an orphan. the park family actually adopted me the year after, when I was 13 and I've been staying with them since. gunwook was 10 and so-hye was 9. since we were all pretty young, it wasn't that hard to talk to them but it was hard to consider each other family, you know what I mean?"

"ah, I get it. what about minhyun?" hanbin nodded.

"well, he was born when I was 16 or 17 so he immediately thought I was family. I just remember wanting to protect him from everything. I was very excited when he arrived but like, also kind of nervous."

"yeah, I was like that when my sister was born. I couldn't really accept the fact that I was going to have a sister but at the same time, I was the most excited out of my family."

"oh, speaking of your sister, how is she? I havent seen her in a while." y/n asked, changing the topic.

"oh, she's doing good. shes been in quite a few rock climbing competitions and such."

they went to the arcade after their cafe visit and overall had a good time together.

y/n would say that their little date was successful.
