     2827 BGA, Dark Ages

A TIDE OF SILVER MOONS have passed in cycles since the death of the red sorceress. The following year after, the Warrior Queen had led a siege against the barbarians in the Jue Nyang Aisles, successfully conquering it without much fight. Peace had finally come upon Narnia once more, with the people rejoicing their victory, singing Queen Jamie's name in songs of reverence. Henceforth, there was to be a serene harmony in Narnia for three years.

The sudden betrayal of Eovrynn Nightblood was not taken lightly by many. Upon interrogating the witch, it was discovered the red sorceress had been her sister, Syllena Nightblood, who had sent her to spy on their every move while gaining their trust. After much rumination and several council meetings on what to do with her punishment, the queen decided to not to kill the witch, but to send her to exile in a mystical island named after her, secluded from the rest of the world and never to be remembered in history. Later on, the Warrior Queen vowed to kill the traitor herself.

In Calormen, the late Tisroc's son, Ali'Kazir, succeeded the Calormene throne after the death of his father in the war against the evil sorceress. It was said that his highness was, unlike Hadeesh Tisroc, benevolent and logical, wise beyond his years. As soon as he sat on the throne, he moved to uphold laws against the abuse of slaves, although he couldn't entirely disassemble the slavery system in the kingdom. As it went, despite being young, Ali'Kazir Tisroc had already proven to be a good king.

And almost four years after he had overtaken the throne, the Tisroc was to be wed to his betrothed — the beautiful Princess Vasya Tsaiveryen of Shaa'Kavar.

Jamie received a formal invitation on a late afternoon, when she had been drinking tea with her handmaidens in the gardens of Cair Paravel. The letter wrote to her, and her council, saying that it would be of utmost delight if they could come and attend the grand royal wedding. The Narnian queen knew little of Emperor Meleken's firstborn daughter, but she had heard whispers of her magnificent beauty across the kingdoms.

Yoringal came walking towards the gazebo, which Jamie understood to be her cue to dismiss the maidens that kept her company. "You've received the invitation?"

"Yes." Jamie put the letter on the table. "What do you think?"

"Zhev says we should go." Replied Yoringal. "And I agree with him. Ali'Kazir Tisroc is a better king than his father, an alliance with Calormen under his rule would benefit us in the long run." He pursed his lips, pausing to think. "It would also strengthen the spice trade between our kingdoms. After the war, our treasury hasn't been of much abundance, and we could use the onslaught of spice prices to our advantage."
