     2831 BGA, Dark Ages

FOR THE NEXT few weeks, Jamie mastered the craft of dragon warfare in the camp they had taken over. It wasn't long before their little stunt reached Syllena, and soon they knew the Cutthroat Carnivore would come after them with steel and blood. In fact, it's already begun, as every few days or so, there would be a number of the sorceress' people appearing and attacking. Although it was easy to fend them off with Verzimir, it won't be long until she would send her better spies to them. Until that happened, Jamie decided to stay put for a while to further train Verzimir.

But then it happened sooner than she'd expected.

Ser Weyck crouched down on a large rock as he spotted Javrik Voss along with an army of a hundred or so marching across the Ford of Beruna. With this, Jamie surmised he had divided his fleet and brought with him only his handpicked best, along with a few powerful mages, as it wouldn't have made sense for a Naval Commander to bring his fight to the grounds. Better on neutral ground than in the north where Syllena was strongest, she guessed.

"Your majesty, they're close by, and he has about a hundred soldiers with him." Ser Weyck had come down from the rock, and they were now gathered in a small meeting. "That is not including sorcerers."

Jamie pressed her lips into a thin line. Although she could use Verzimir against the soldiers, there was the problem with mages. Every wave Syllena sent to them in the past weeks, the magikfolk only got stronger. Now that she sent Voss to take care of them, it would be no surprise if she sent some of the best Shaa'Valunians as well. "I'll handle the sorcerers. Verzimir can take out some soldiers, even if they have arrows."

"How exactly are you going to do that?" Zhev inquired, tilting his head in question.

"You'll see." Was Jamie's reply. "Now how many are we?"

"There are nine of us your majesty, I've only got three of my knights left." Ser Weyck replied. "Even if we do successfully take the soldiers out with the help of your dragon, Javrik Voss won't go down without a fight. And who's to say the rest of Syllena's troops aren't marching here now?"

"I'll take care of Javrik Voss myself. And if Syllena's troops will follow, I will give them fire, I will give them death, and I will give them blood." Jamie announced with finality.

Behind them, Verzimir growled lowly, to which Jamie turned to the beast. The Dark Tide's eyes collided with hers, an unspeakable exchange passing between them. Jamie let out a sigh, breaking the eye contact to avert her attention back to her friends.

"We will end this war." She said, looking at each and every one of them. "Are you with me?"

     "Yes, your majesty!"
