     Present Day, Narnia

PAIN FLARED UP Jamie's wrist and leg, as she limped towards the map room, with Edmund, Lucy, and Zhev tailing after her. The Valiant Queen was quick to pull her cordial out to pour a drop of the fire flower's juice into Jamie's mouth, who graciously accepted the offer after she had managed to plop down on a chair. Gasping for a breath, she watched the gash on her leg slowly weave back together, and the pain from her wrist subside, a calmness washing over her.

"Feeling better?" Asked Lucy, her brows creasing from steadily rising worry.

     "Yeah." Jamie replied. "I'm alright."

"So that's what the pendant does." Edmund pursed his lips. "You shouldn't be endangering yourself like that again."

"But that's what queens do." Jamie looked at him pointedly. "We endanger ourselves to save our people. It was my duty, and so it was exactly what I did."

"I've given up stopping her a long time ago, you should too." Zhev murmured to Edmund.

"I heard that." Jamie raised a brow.

"Yes, it is what queens do, I should know. But Edmund is right, you shouldn't risk your life like that. You could've gotten killed! Or worse." Lucy loved Jamie and feared for her life. Although the outburst was quite expected, the Warrior Queen was still a little taken aback.

Jamie softened. "Lucy, my dear, if I don't, who will?" The two young men in the room remained silent, as she let out a sigh. "I'm here now, aren't I? I'm alive, and so are you. Let us not bicker over unspilled milk." She'd been about to stand up when Edmund gently stopped her. "Oh, come on, I said I'm alright!"

     "You need rest."

"Yes, but I don't want rest."

     "Oh, Aslan." Zhev almost facepalmed.

     "Jamie —"

"I will not be forced to rest."

Their word skirmish was cut short when Caspian came barreling through the doors of the map room, a sparkle in his dark eyes. "We've passed through the sea of monsters, and there is sight of land just now." When he spotted the commotion that had been halted to a freeze, his brows knitted together. "Is everything alright?"

"They're not letting me leave." Jamie huffed.

"You need to rest." Edmund shot her a look.
