If this letter reaches you, that means I have lost all contact with you and Lucy. If you ought to know how I am, I am well. And by this time, I am probably currently back in Narnia, and if so, that means it won't be long before you'll be back too.
I've dearly missed you. For two long years, I've been in Shanghai, studying the fine arts. But my father sent for me to come home when the second world war started, in fear that I might be in danger in foreign soil. Such a shame, I have grown to love the city. I've missed Susan and Peter too, how are they? Please do send them my warmest regards.
I hope we will be together again in Narnia soon. I've missed our adventures. I will be patiently waiting, my darling. I hope you waited for me too.
