     Present day, Narnia

THE SUN WAS DARKENED as they sailed through wild waters, waves lapping up at a harsher pace. Verzimir flapped his wings low, giving leeway for Zhev to dismount and hop on the ship deck. As the winds were starting to howl, the prince saw it fit to come aboard the ship, and allow Verzimir to soar higher than the graying clouds to avoid the incoming stormy weather. Across the deck, Jamie met his gaze, sighing as she was forced to approach him.

"Saroqhan," she began, "King Caspian requests for your presence in the map room."

Zhev exhaled lowly, looking as though he had wanted to say something. But instead, he replied. "Lead the way, your grace."

Jamie nodded curtly before proceeding, with the prince in tow as she entered the map room. Caspian, Drinian, Edmund, and Lucy were all present, maps laid out with chess pieces to mark certain areas. Upon their arrival, Caspian rounded the table, his hand held out for Zhev to take in a handshake. "Welcome aboard the Dawn Treader, your highness." He said, a pleasant smile on his face.

"I'm not exactly sure if I'm still a highness, your majesty." Zhev joked, accepting the welcome with an equally delightful smile.

"Oh, nonsense." Caspian chastised. "The jest aside, I would like to consult you on matters regarding our course, if it won't be too much of a nuisance?" The king returned to his spot earlier, tilting his head in question.

"Not at all, your majesty, it would be an honor." Zhev said, all business. "So you are headed towards Ramandu's Island. Following the Blue Star. Problem is, you'd have to go through two perilous waters."

"Meaning?" It was Edmund who asked, crossing his arms against his chest.

"On the way to the island, there are two seas you must pass: one, the sea of storms, and two, the sea of monsters." Zhev explained, his fingers held up as an illustration for counting.
