Hi all!

It's been quite a while since I've posted a new chapter.
I missed writing and updating this story. I am going to seriously try to buckle down and add more chapters, as well as write new chapters for my other book.

I hope you all enjoy what is to come!

*also excuse any mistakes or typos, I usually write in the middle of the night! Sorryyy

Thank you for being so patient with this book :)

Analie POV:

"Are you sure you're ready to go back to school? Because we can wait till you're ready?"

I am sitting across from Ayden at one of our local coffee shops, trying to convince him that I am 100% ready to return to school after a week of not going.
I'll admit I didn't feel ready to go back at first, but after several pep talks in the mirror, I am more than sure I will be okay. Now I just have to convince Ayden, Cameron, Sean, and Grayson that I am okay.

I also have to come up with a lie for Amanda, seeing as I never told her about the incident with Jake.

Come to think of it, I really need to tell her what happened.
Especially since she has a crush on Jake.

"I promise I'm fine; we can't keep skipping school because I was not ready to go back or afraid to run into Jake. I have an excuse to be out of school, Ayden, but you don't for all those absences."

"sweetheart, don't worry about me. I want to know if you are 100% sure you will be okay tomorrow?" Ayden asks me for the 100th time. I know he's only looking out for me, but I am going to smack him upside the head so he understands that I am fine.

"Yes, I am 100% sure I am ready to go back. Please do not worry about or coddle me; I will be okay. And I have you and my three other bodyguards to keep me safe," I say, laughing lightly at the situation.

"Okay, I just wanted to be sure," He says with relief. "We need to tell the guys you are doing okay since we haven't seen them in a week. Plus, Cameron is a little worried that we've spent an entire week together."

"I think He might be worried that I'm going to beat the crap out of you."

"Why would you want to beat the shit out of me? I am a joy to be around," he says, flashing me his dazzling smile.

I look at him for a minute and realize that he has been an enormous support for me throughout this entire week. I would be wallowing about the situation without him and his bright personality. Ayden gave me the space to feel the present sadness, but not for too long. Since he got me out of the house almost every day by taking me along to all his practices.

I am so grateful for football practice.

Who would've thought that that would be something I am grateful for. Go figure

"Do you need me to stay over again, or do you want to come over this time?" He asks, getting shy on me.

Did he seriously get shy on me?

He's been doing that quite a bit, but I just thought I was imagining it; every time he asks about spending the night at my house, he gets nervous, like I'm going to smack him.

"I can go to yours tonight?" I question, unsure of my response since he still seems nervous right now

"Yeah, I'm okay with that" he rubs the back of his neck, fidgeting in his spot.
