Chapter 19

This is chapter 19 be prepared for some good stuff ! Up top is a picture of Jake, a new character I am introducing into the story.

Analie:

Analie's POV:

" So like I said before Ayden... I overreacted when I found out what happened with Allison. I assumed it was you who provoked her but I was wrong here" I say feeling guilty for making the assumption about Ayden

"It's okay Analie, I mean I wouldn't blame you for that assumption. If I were you I would have assumed the same thing" He laughs softly at the thought of him being the instigator and trouble maker

" Well once again I'm sorry and also... Thank you"

"Thank you?" Ayden asks confused at my gratitude "For what?"

"For standing up for me" I quietly answer back

He looks at me and smiles softly, he grabs my hand and squeezes it gently. I can tell this is his way of reassuring me for everything that happened earlier today. His hand stays intertwined with mine while we sit at our table and continue our conversation.

"You know you don't have to thank me right?"

" I feel like I do though. You stood up for me and I'm pretty sure no other person would right now...well besides everyone at this table. I feel like everyone at this school has made an assumption, that because our groups suddenly started hanging out, something is going on. Especially with you and me" I say pointedly, directed more towards other people than Ayden.

" Yeah I noticed it too. I'm generally used to attention being on me most of the time, but as soon as we started hanging out this attention on me, and us" He gestures to everyone at the table "has been way over the top" " Aside from that though Analie, I would stand up for you at any time for anything, I hope you know that"

He takes this moment to just stare at me and smile like if I'm the center of focus right now. I tense up a bit and look around the room and see that people are staring at us again.
They always stare at us.

How interesting could our lives possible be. Seriously.

Ayden squeezes my hand again bringing my attention back to him. I smile softly at him for the small distraction. I'm about to say something when the bell rings for our next class.

" Come on I'll walk you to class" he says letting go of my hand to grab my stuff for me.

I don't say anything I just get up and follow him into the hallway where everyone else is headed, to their classes. Ayden and I are walking in silence to our next class when he stops in the middle of the hall.

"I have to tell you something" He says out of nowhere, throwing me off guard.

"Okayyy, should I be worried?" I ask giggling a little bit, thinking he is just messing with me, but he has serious look on his face, like he's having an internal debate about whatever he wants to tell me.

"Look I made a huge mistake and I need to be honest with you. I want you to know that I wasn't trying to do anything bad. I was just being a dick and thinking basically with my dick when we first met" He runs a hand through his hair frustrated, trying to get all the words out but it really looks like he's struggling here.

" Ayden you're making me nervous here, what are you talking about?  Did you do something bad and you got me in the middle of it?"

"No. No. I didn't do anything bad. I just made a huge error on my part when I started becoming your friend, I did it without thinking and I need to tell you the truth about this, before our friendship progresses"

"Okay well whatever this is that you need to tell me about I'm pretty sure it's not that bad" I say reassuring him 

"When I first met you or literally ran into you I had other intentions than just being your friend-"

" What he means to tell you is that he was just using you to get in your pants Gorgeous"
Someone speaks up from behind me startling me. 

I thought Ayden and I were the only two left in the hall way.
I turn to see who decided to chime in at this exact moment. Somehow that voice sounds familiar but I can't put my finger.

As soon as I see who it is I feel bile rise to my throat and the color drains from my face.

"Jake" I say or rather whisper because I can't seem to speak the right way at this moment.

"What's up Gorgeous? Did you miss me, because I know I've missed you"
He says this while smiling at me. He completely ignores the fact that I look and feel like I've seen a ghost. 
He shouldn't be here. But he is.

Jake Is back.

He was gone from school for being suspended for some stupid ass prank him and his teammates pulled. Now he's back.

Every time I look at him now I want to puke.

I will never look at him the same way, I don't care how much Amanda likes him

I hate him for what he did.

I run out of the school leaving Ayden and Jake in their place. Ignoring Ayden calling after me.
I run to my car and takeoff without looking back.

I need to get out of here before I spiral out of control.
