July 1, 1989"What's really going on between you two?" Devin asked his brother, watching as he continued to pack a small bag of clothes.
Desi chuckled at his suspicious manner of questioning him "Nothing, we just friends."
He smacked his lips, not believing him at all "You really about to hop on a 7 hour flight, just to pop up and surprise a friend?" He quoted with his fingers "Nah, there's definitely something going on between y'all ass. She got you whipped already."
It may have seemed that way, being that he was flying out to London just to see what was going on with Sade. Till this day, he still hasn't spoken to her, and he got tired of leaving voicemails with nothing in return. He let her have her time to herself, but now he felt that she was just flat out ignoring him. She wasn't upset with him, and he knew this, because the last time they saw each other he was on his best behavior. For her to not pick up the phone for four months now started to rub him the wrong way.
He wasn't going to lash out and act a fool on her though , because that would be uncalled for and he still doesn't know what's going on. For all he know, she may be in her house depressed for whatever reason. That was Alonso's theory after she ignored his calls too. Desmond was going to be the first to go out of his way to check up on her, not over the phone, but in person. That's if Stephaun haven't beat him to the punch yet.
Sade has no clue that he's making his way across the country, just for her, but hopefully she wont stare at him weirdly and turn him around. That type of outcome was lingering in the back of his head, but he was going anyway, hoping for the best.
They heard knocks on his room door and his father Aaron came in "Your still not ready? Why do you always have to pack last minute?" He questioned him.
"I am ready, I'm just double checking." He lied.
"Well bring your ass, your plane leaves at 10 and you still have to go through TSA." He reminded him, already knowing how hectic and crowded the airports could be at any time of the day.
Zipping up his small suitcase, he swung his extra bag over his shoulder and it looked as if he was moving away again. He seemed to have a lot of clothes packed and he was only staying in London for at least two days, but leave it to Desmond to try and impress someone. That, and he already know's how unpredictable the weather could be out there. Looking over his shoulder, he took a step back and grabbed his Dior cologne, slipping it in his bag.
He softly told his mother goodbye, being that she was the only one in the house knocked out sleep before 8 at night. She too knew that Desi was making a trip to London, but unlike his brother and father, she didn't know he was going just to surprise Sade.
Once his father rushed him to the car to get settled in, they pulled off quick fast and in a hurry. You would think Aaron was working part time at the airport and he had to be at work in thirty minutes.
