It's Monday morning. Time to go to the office while Pierre, Charles and Kika staid at home with mom. I hit my alarm so it would stop ringing. Damn 5:30 am. For what... another day at work. I rubbed my face and sighed before gaining my energy to climb out of bed. My bare feet touching the wooden laminated floor as I walked to the bathroom. I washed my face before I did some skincare and then my make-up. When I was done I walked to my walk in closet that I installed and opened it. I walked through it a little bit before settling on a beautiful baby blue pantalon with a simple but nice white button up and then to finish my Louboutin so Kate heels in the white color. I did my hair in a ponytail with the middle part and my curtain bangs not in my ponytail but loose. I let my hair loose a little more instead of the slicked back ponytail. The more loose ponytail gave me a more natural and casual look which I liked. I sighed as I grabbed my bag that contained my laptop and some of the files I needed to take with me before I made my way downstairs. It was 6:15 at the moment and I was making breakfast. A simple bowl of yoghurt with fruit and some honey. I took some vitamins piles to make sure I had enough of them and then I started eating and drinking my glass of water. The couch behind me creaked and I turned my head to see Pierre waking up on the couch. I totally forgot that he slept downstairs. KiKa slept in Arthur's old room and Charles in his old room. Lorenzo his room is now my office so no more room for Pierre I guess.

"Morning Eileen..."

"Morning Pierre. Did I wake you? I forgot you slept downstairs."

"A little but that's alright. What are you doing up at this hour though?"

"Gotta go to work. I leave at 6:40."

"Almost then?"

"Yep. Then you can continue sleeping."

"Meh I think I'm gonna get my workout done for the day now."

"That's an option too."

"Don't your feet hurt in those heels?"

"Not anymore. They're numbed I guess."

He looked at me with a painful expression and my hurt softly fluttered at the fact he cared. Get everything straight Eileen! It means nothing! I gave him a soft smile before sitting down next to him and eating breakfast. We chatted for a bit with small talk before I had to go to work. I said bye to him with a polite smile before I grabbed my bag and made my way to my car before elegantly stepping in. It was time to get the last preps done before the gala event from tomorrow evening. I invited Charles as my plus one because well... I can't turn up alone but for Charles his sake I asked KiKa and Pierre to come along. So he did have people to talk to expect for me and my business talk. I had told Kika we would go dress shopping this afternoon and it would be on me as it was quite last minute and well my event. I wanted to be nice to her for the boys their sake. She accepted and ever since our restaurant fight she seemed to have a 180 degree turn into a whole new person. She was a nice girl and I guess we were quite good together now. I arrived at the office after driving for a while and I climbed out. When my heels clicked on the marble floor I saw people looking at me and scared faces were walking faster then they would normally do to warn others for my arrival. Yes I was a control freak at work and I didn't hesitate to use my power in the right way. I could fire anyone in this whole city with one phone call even if they didn't work for me. That's why they're quite scared of me I guess. I was nice to everyone as long as you work and don't try shit on me. People have tried but failed miserably and well... words spread like a god damn fire.

"Quinty?"

"Yes ma'am?"

"Clear my schedule for the afternoon. I'll be gone from 14 to 16. Afterwards I'll be back so all meetings with priorities need to be moved and well immediately please."

"Of course. I'm on it! Let me know if I can do anything else."

"Thank you."

My assistant handed me a map filled with paperwork and then walked to her desk while I walked into my office. I sat down behind my own desk and opened the files while I started my computer and laptop. Let's get this day started once again. I made myself comfortable as I filled the morning with answering e-mails, calls, finished paperwork and looked into some other needed things.

I was standing in the dressing room of one of the gala shops in Nice as I let my hands slide down the fabric. My head slightly tilted as I looked at the dress through the mirror. It was a simple black dress without sleeves and one side of the shoulder. I liked it. I stepped out of the dressing room and KiKa looked up from her seat. She had already decided on a beautiful midnight blue dress. She looked and me and smiled.

"I think it's absolutely beautiful!"

"I like it too."

"It's laid back but you won't fall away in this dress... I think the dress would fall away in you and that's good to be honest."

I smiled softly at her as I made up my mind and decided on this dress. I paid for both of our dresses before I dropped Kika off at home before I drove back to the office. I was just in time to pick up my boss and out assistants. We drove to the event venue to check up on everything. We walked through the room and checked everything and then went back to the office to get a few more hours of work in before it was time to eat dinner and get dressed for the evening.
